Interesting rule change in college football. On a kickoff, the receiver can signal for and make a fair catch inside the 25 and get the ball at the 25 regardless of where he caught it. The kickoff return continues to fade away. Will the NFL follow?

I don’t like that. The kickoff return can swing games. I know it was a punt, but Chark’s return swung the momentum to beat Auburn.

They'll probably only have one to start games at some point

Yeah let’s take as many kicks as possible out of a game called FOOTball!

Why not just go ahead and place the ball at the 25 yard line to start the game?

We don’t Georgia in 2003 without a big KO return after they scored on the 90 us screen pass.

The ball can still be returned, so we still beat Georgia and West Virginia. Teams will have a strategy and some will still try to return the ball and others will always fair catch.

That's the dumbest thing ever I've ever heard. So, how many college kickers can even kick it into the end zone. What about the FCS schools and lower divisions? Think about how this will affect them.

They've pussified football to the point that we will basically watch two hand touch on Saturday

Kickoffs suck. The winner of the toss should get the ball at the 35 on 4th and 10 and get try to convert or punt it.

Kickers will kick low and short of the 25. More recoveries for the kicking team. It'll be a clusterf#@*

So don’t call fair catch and return the ball.. Not rocket science.

I think those of us under 60 will see tackling eliminated from football in our lifetimes. Sad!
