I am going to take your word for it. But dont expect your very reasonable post to be met with anything but "pumonary'

Oh i know man, lets just say this, if chicken wanted to ask me for the phone number of a head coach or RC in the SEC or Big 12 i could prove it to him... its not a big deal to me, people can believe or not believe... im no insider or anything like that... im basically a bird-dog. they call me to shoot the shite every once in a while but they wouldnt call or text me if i didnt send them players... lol

So he built the best team in college baseball three of the last 7 years?

Lazy bastard

Buddy, your wit is too much for me. Maybe read the part in which I said I admire Mainieri, and he was a great coach. My point is that once he got the extension after 2017, he had no more financial incentive, and he has laid back. This point is hardly countered by pointing out that I said he built three great teams BEFORE he disengaged.

I think something no one is mentioning about this article that the quote came from is that those comments were talking about Kaminer’s fall and since they started practicing again in January he has been a different pitcher and the scouting report from Cain was actually spot on which is why CPM trust him to scout players.

When someone has a specific agenda and they start a thread in order to push said agenda, information like you pointed out above is normally intentionally left out of the conversation.

How many head coaches did he shake hands with that day? If I had to guess not many.

not many are there but most schools are represented for sure... especially if you have a stacked national team like ours... many east cost schools head coaches will come down though... Clemson, Wake, Duke etc... then guys like Skip (Oklahoma) or Rodriquez from Baylor will come in for a day or so if their assistants see a must get guy.

Hopefully Paul either retires or is shown the door after this season. It’s time.

So let the coach go who is #2 on the D1 active coaches win list because he lets his younger assistant coaches do the recruiting??

For instance one of the Men that I work with has a Son that is Head Coach of a Team in a Power 5 Conference. His Son will not sign a player unless he sees them first! Proof enough?

Seen him play or just seen the recruit and got to know their personality? These are two different things and what the OP is about CPM could have done the second part without doing the first part.

This has been the case his whole career. He needs bigtime recruiters instead of legit position coaches. Its bit him before.

Who the "F" said I didn't like it???

I love watching idiots melt.

It's even so much better when they melt over a post that
omitted important information in order to induce the idiots
to melt.

All you have to do is give them a little rope and then sit back,
watch and laugh your arse off.

No. Not even close.

An anecdote about how ONE coach recruits does not come close to proving how "MOST COACHES" recruit.

No, im mainly referring to tall and lengthy middle infielders.

DJ LeMahieu 6'4" SS/2B
Jacoby Jones 6'3" SS/2B

The only player you listed that is close to fitting that mold is Zach Arnold.

but nice try!

Now you're just trying to save face because you didn't know what you were talking about.

You also mentioned Mikie Mahtook and he never played infield for LSU.

And Jacoby Jones played outfield a couple of games while at LSU.

But nice try...

I 100% will stand by wanting taller lengthier middle infielders.

I did mention Mikie but removed him because of the players you listed who are of similar size (but probably not as athletic)

seriously? want me to go back and cite all of the players who played another position while at LSU besides their focus position?

keep trying little fella!

You dont know as much as you think you do :/

Austin Nola, Kramer Robertson and Alex Bregman are all 6 foot. Height doesn't always mean better. What if Mainieri was so dead set on height like you are and missed out on these guys because of it and ended up with a lesser player?
