I fricking LOVE When CPM Calls out players. It worked for Stevenson, Deichmann, Poche among others I can recall him calling out directly as veteran leaders on the team.

My philosophy is that if you're playing baseball for LSU, you had plenty other offers from schools with far lower expectations.

Fontenot is a man. I would go into battle with him.
No snowflake there.
He has been there and been successful. I have no doubt he will recapture his success.

While he's not wrong....why the hell won't he do something about it when it could matter. I mean shite he's been at all the games physically at least...he's seen the same version of Fontenot that we have the past month...why not try somebody else....I realize that somebody would probably have been Moffit but shite we knew after the first walk that Fontenot was shot.

Maineri needs to really look in the damn mirror for problems when this season is over.

Sounds like Fontenot took responsibility IMO

He should, he was the pitcher of record for the L after his guys fought back to tie it. Everybody sees that, he didn't get it done. Pitchers often give up leads, it just sucked it happened at that time. I don't have a problem with how PM's comments came about in the flow of the interview. PM should have also said he waited too late @ 7-0 to pull the starter when things had gone to shite in the field. Marceaux also could have made a play to help himself limit the damage, that didn't happen. That game was fugly in many ways. Pitching staff needs to step it up.

Man play baseball at LSU. He knew what was expected when he walked in.

He Fontenot can’t take a bit of public criticism from a coach, then he won’t make it much further.

A bunch of you are acting like travel baseball parents and the coach just called out your son.

I think Costello, Gunter & Moffit were the only arms available
Last Monday it was said Moffit was healthy, I am not 100% sure he was available
We also need an arm (a few more than likely) to pitch tomorrow night

I am not disagreeing with you at all, I am just not sure there were any other options

frick this fake macho jizz. The guy who gets paid shouldn’t even be allowed to blame the guys who don’t.

How many runs did we leave at 3rd in that game? I’m talking about runs that could have scored, he held at 3rd with 1 out and then we stranded the runner. Had to be at least 3

Man heck yea. I been saying this all year. Cain needs to grow a set. A base runner on first should almost always score when the hitter hits a double. It blows my mind how often Cain holds them up at 3rd and the batter is jogging to second with an easy double.

No he did not cost us the game! The fricking pitching staff gave up 19 runs, that's what cost us the game!

If this was a one time screw up by Fontenot then I’d have a big problem with CPMs comments.

Either get your shite together or get benched.

Absolutely. But sack up, be the manager and fricking do it. Don't whine and take a public dump on your kid to absolve yourself of your failings.

You're getting paid well to manage and train the staff and players at your disposal and put a quality team on the field. It's your program, your staff, your players, and your decisions. Own up and be accountable and don't scapegoat your kids.

Really shameful behavior from a big league coach.

. It doesn’t bother me and it is nothing specific to PM. I don’t like when any coach does this. He gets paid a lot of money to coach the team and part of that is responsibility. He should take the heat he gets paid for instead of deflecting.

CPM is a clown and it gets worse with age. He has always thrown players under the bus. Dude needs to understand that when you point the finger there are three pointing back. He's probably too high on his own farts to realize it though.

No doubt the guy that gives up the 16th run is the reason. I’ve often said, if we can hold a team to 15 runs, I feel pretty good about our success.

There was still nothing to close. It was a tied game.
