Maggie just won the 50 free at NCAAs and broke the national record with a 20.79! Just the beginning of a great meet for her!

Good for her

Sad that track and field (especially men’s) have fallen off so badly.

How did she end up at LSU?

Olympian and isn’t Michigan a big time swimming school?

She followed her former HC Rick Bishop to LSU. Another solid hire by SW. Sadly LSU probably has the worst swimming facilities in the country and in need of a major upgrade. The facility is 40 years old and was built for the US Olympic Festival held on campus

The 100 Fly tonight is the most anticipated race of the NCAAs this week in Knoxville. That will be an amazing race where we might see six-seven sub-50. MM was toying around in prelims hitting the 75 in fifth and then one big underwater to reclaim the lead. Watch out!

Seems like they have revitalized the program. I thought LSU S&D was horrible for all I knew. They definitely need new facilities, the Nat is VERY dated.

Unbelievable 100 fly. Maggie got second: .05 behind Kate Douglass of Virginia. She was long on that 50 turn. Heck of a race. Only three under 50 seconds.

LSU is tied for 9th place overall with Cal after event 9. Only races left tonight are the 100 breast and 400 medley relay. Divers have the 3m springboard where the Tigers should score as well.
