My son was telling me the other day about this minor league team called the “Savannah Bananas” in Georgia. I pulled it up on bing and those guys are absolutely hilarious and they are also really good. They do dances, etc and entertain. The fans have a ball out there watching. I almost wish we could adopt some of that mentality and make a name for ourselves. Plus really cool story about the owner of that team, he put it all on the line for his idea and guess what? They are sold out every game. Y’all look it up.

Stop. They're a gimmick and that's fine & all, but stop with the, "we should do some of that" nonsense. No, we shouldn't.

They're just the baseball version of the Harlem Globetrotters, right?

While the Bananas are indeed hilarious, what you may not be noticing is that much of what they do within the game is against the rules of baseball. They've had to create their own home rules to account for this.

What exactly about this "mentality" do you think LSU needs to adopt to make a name for itself?

LSU is one of the top programs of all-time in college baseball. I personally don't think we need gimmicks to make a name for ourselves. The winning has done that for us.

Great for basic minor league team not a major college baseball program that sells out anyways. This is what Quick change and the chinese lady are for. Also, please tell me you are a woman with that Avatar.

I'm pretty sure they aren't even a minor league team anymore... just an exhibition team.

Now that they are taking their show on the road, Rantz is trying to get them to make a stop in Baton Rouge, possibly at Alex Box

I've been to a Rougarou game in the Texas league, Rantz is trying hard and it was a fun game to go to.

I still think minor league baseball would work in Baton Rouge in the summer with nothing else as competition.

We have more historical appearances than any other team left in the super regionals.

There are fans that don’t like the cross arm celebration that LSU does now. Their heads would explode if they do things the Bananas do.

Also it’s not real baseball they play. They created their own set of rules.

Live Augusta and work in Savannah I can confirm how unique of an experience it is. Its also a quicker game, only takes 2 hours. A lot of people in my company have Savannah Bananas apparel and stuff in their office. They are very popular and it is highly recommended to get to a game.

He’s 100% a troll. Most likely a 19 year old virgin who thinks he’s clever after reading Reddit trolls for 3 months. He also said A&M’s student section is better than LSU’s bc they’re clean cut and attend yell practice.
