LSU x Savannah Bananas
Posted by Tim McBaw on 6/7/23 at 3:01 pm
My son was telling me the other day about this minor league team called the “Savannah Bananas” in Georgia. I pulled it up on bing and those guys are absolutely hilarious and they are also really good. They do dances, etc and entertain. The fans have a ball out there watching. I almost wish we could adopt some of that mentality and make a name for ourselves. Plus really cool story about the owner of that team, he put it all on the line for his idea and guess what? They are sold out every game. Y’all look it up.
Concern about visible tattoos affecting future for our boys.
Posted by Tim McBaw on 6/6/23 at 7:12 am
Lots of flashy arm tattoos on the ball field this year. Fun in the moment, but my concern is how will our boys hold down a normal job after their baseball career is done? Hope they are getting good “life advice” from coaching staff.

A true all-American hero.
To the haters who said “why are we spending $2M/year to coach program that loses $4M/year”

I think it’s now safe to say it was well worth it for the hundreds of LSU fans who are still on cloud 9 today after the championship last night.

Unbelievable. She wins everywhere she goes. Could possibly be the greatest of all time.
The one thing we can learn from Texas A&M
Posted by Tim McBaw on 12/22/22 at 11:18 am
I had the privilege of attending the Texas A&M game against the Florida this year, and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt their student section is the best in the country. I know it’s going to rub some of you millennials the wrong way when you hear this, but they were not only clean-cut, and respectful, they were also focused on the game and at least 3x louder than our student section.
So what makes them so great? Two words: yell practice. Fun fact, that student section actually has practice the day before the game to warm up their vocals and get their minds right. How can we expect the team to practice and our students are too lazy to put the time in? We need to implement yell practice immediately.

Which QB would you hope to bring in through the transfer portal?
Posted by Tim McBaw on 12/5/22 at 9:14 am
There is a ton of QB talent reportedly hitting the TP. Surely we have proven ourselves worthy to grab an elite one.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind bringing in Shedeur Sanders haha, but he will probably follow his dad to Colorado.

How many 9 win seasons will we allow Kelly to have?
Posted by Tim McBaw on 11/28/22 at 11:33 am
I was all for letting Miles go after a 9 win season because Louisiana deserves a national contending, flag ship team. I think this has been a heck of a rebuilding year, but from this point on 10 wins minimum.
Jambalaya Sauce alter…
This is exactly what has to happen for us to get to the CFP if we lose to Georgia.
Posted by Tim McBaw on 11/23/22 at 11:12 am
1. Penn State loses to Michigan State
2. Tennessee loses a close game to VANDY
3. Oregon loses to Oregon State, then beats USC in a nail-biter championship game
4. Clemson loses to SC, then loses ACC championship game
5. Bama loses close in the Iron Bowl
6. USC loses to ND, then gets beat by Oregon in the Pac 12 game
7. LSU wins big vs TAMU, then loses by 1-3 points vs UGA
8. TCU loses to Iowa State, then loses the Big 12 Championship game
9. Michigan beats OSU soundly, then loses big 10 championship game
10. Georgia loses close game to Georgia Tech, then wins a close game vs LSU in SEC championship
ALL of these things must happen in order for us to make it if we lose. Keep your fingers crossed baws.

Crazy to consider SEC getting involved in this game?
Posted by Tim McBaw on 11/23/22 at 9:49 am
Think about how much money is at stake for the SEC getting 2 teams into the CFP…
I don’t think it’s crazy to consider the SEC getting involved…in some way…to allow LSU to win this game and get 2 teams in there.
Not a conspiracy theorist, but there’s a lot of money on the table. Lots of people involved.

Excited more for the Football team or the Basketball team?

I honestly can’t say. New coaches, both of to a pretty good start.

That you, Eli?
Ultimate NIL long play.
Posted by Tim McBaw on 11/10/22 at 8:02 am
How much did Todd Graves pay Eli Ricks to transfer to Bama and sabotage their season? Everyone is playing checkers…LSU is playing chess.
Is it true that TN threw the Georgia game?
Posted by Tim McBaw on 11/10/22 at 6:20 am
I have a working theory that TN lost on purpose. And why not?
They drop to #5, and avoid having to play in the SEC championship game. They’ll still make the playoffs.
TN is the smartest team in the room.

How soon before Bama makes a run at Brian Kelly?

We are obviously a coaching feeder school for their program.
What are the odds?
Posted by Tim McBaw on 11/6/22 at 11:00 pm
That out of 130 division 1 football teams, two QBs met on the field last night and both had Walt Disney mustaches.
What an incredible experience.
What an incredible experience.
For the first time in 18 years our coaching staff is our greatest asset.
Posted by Tim McBaw on 11/6/22 at 9:44 am
That is the most exciting part about this season.
How do we change the culture of the student section?
Posted by Tim McBaw on 11/4/22 at 9:34 pm
Our student section just looks physically weak. How do we initiate a healthy culture change? We look soft, like our student section couldn’t even beat up a Sun Belt student section. Back in my day that section was filled with baws. These days it looks like a group acting like a student section.
Edit: I want to add I think it starts with the parents. Attitude reflects leadership.

Better get it in before they leave in the 3rd quarter…
