Slow your roll! Season hasn't started yet, and I'm a believer in seeing it with my own eyes to believe it. They certainly have the talent I'll say that, but now it must all come together for results. The 2011 defense went out and did their thing and made it happen, this defense needs to do the same. Stuff opposing teams offenses at the point of attack, cause lots of havoc and turnovers, and just absolutely dominate opposing offenses. We have seen Nick Saban and his Bama goon teams do this for awhile now while LSU once the dominant D has declined going in the other direction except for 2011 when they where the best SEC defense for the longest. It'll be good to see them take that throne back from Alabama again.

There's no way in hell they have the best D they've had. They have like 3 LB's healthy

and 4 new starters in the secondary. Of crs they don't play LSU, Miss St and Aub until the back 1/3 of the season.

I wish they hadn't turned Surtain, but what's done is done now and I won't sweat it. The depth at CB would have been unreal if Surtain had kept his promise and with the return of Fulton, Greedy the All Amer, and I think that kid from Stanford is underrated and good too.

Absolutely. Go watch the Bama game from last year. Lawrence is an absolute monster when healthy.

LSU has the best defense in the NCAA and its not even close.

Nobody in the country has as much talent as we do on defense

Don't you typically complain about people being too down on the current team?

It’s not even close? LSU didn’t have the best defense last year. Now they lost 9 of the 13 top tacklers and have zero seniors playing but now they are the best defense in the NCAA? And it’s not even close?

I fully believe that’s LSU’s defense is talented and they will be good. But you see how some would think you have purple and gold glasses on?

What you mean is that they return 3 of their top 4 tacklers, over 50% of their top 12 tackling production, 80 % of tackling production by players with at least 60 tackles (which are really the guys who dont just jump on the pile) and 83% of its int production. And 8 upperclassmen in the starting 12 while plugging in two second year players that were the number one inside lb recruit and 1 pass rush recruit in the country. We can spin some numbers all day.

Is he healthy? Haven’t seen anything specific but seems he’s missed more practices than he’s made this camp. Lawrence that is.

The delusion is strong with these folks.
We will have a good defense, but I doubt we will be #1 in the sec, much less the entire nation.

Our offense will probably be around 6th in the sec.
