If we are being honest with ourselves. This is really a transition year after losing Angel (who was a large part of what LSU did on both ends the last two years). Kim wants to get this group to a sweet 16-elite 8. Next year imo is where they make their run especially if they get a couple bigs from the portal with the returners and freshmen coming in

Unfortunately Smith is still trying to fully get back from her injury and it’s taking her a while and it maybe another full offseason before they get the old SaMyah back. They’ll just have to rotate and play the hot hand inside next to morrow and hope our guards can carry enough vs the elite teams

This team has definitely more depth. While our bigs were better last year, our guard play is better this year. Don’t think they have enough to win it all but sweet 16 is easily obtainable and really anything less than elite 8 would be disappointing. But I agree that next year is the year. Annoyingly South Carolina probably going to win it all again but rooting for USC

Maybe, but South Carolina doesn't have the towering athletic centers that we've seen; Boston and Cardoso aren't walking through that tunnel. And one of their starting forwards, Watkins is out for the year.

Of course, the thing that always happens vs South Carolina is that their reputation precedes them and the refs let them play physical bully basketball. That wasn't a foul, they're just a physical team...

If we want to look at matchups, Kentucky is the team to worry about.

If Vandy has any players transferring. Khamil Pierre is going to be at the top of everyone's wishlist. She'd be a SEC POTY candidate at any other school.

Definitely going to need a couple of bigs in the portal .

Won’t have Morrow gobbling up rebounds and ADR looks to have regressed and Jersey doesn’t seem like the answer either.

I went to the SC vs UCLA game a few weeks ago. From what I saw, I'd put my money on UCLA as well................................ESPECIALLY with Watkins now being hurt.

Khamil Pierre was killing us when she had the ball. No matter who covered her, she was still all buckets. If she decides to enter the portal this year, hope Kim goes after her. She is a scoring machine and only a Soph. But we do need 1 or 2 bigs. Was hoping Rosario would take the next step this year, but she doesn't appear to be improving.

We don’t have a chance against SC… we are barely a top 10 team the way we perform.
