I mean do they think she could have gone to a SC or UConn and started immediately too. Unless you’re a Sarah Strong or Joyce Edwards type talent you’re not starting as a freshman there either.

This is 100% about bag chasing by the dad and not play time. In her video posts Bella spoke about how she saw Jada wait and grow before starting. She knew the score and was happy. Hell, she already had more time than many freshmen get.
Then yesterday someone threw a bag at dad, and they have to set a narrative about "what is best for Bella".

There also has to be zero depth there too. So a lot of factors involved. Basically you want to start for a team the whole year as a freshman your team is terrible.

Her dad has been in a Twitter spaces (basically virtual voice call) in the past couple hours, and he seemed to allude to Bella (sounds more like him) wanting guaranteed heavy minutes next year. I’m more inclined to believe a team decided to throw her a similar bag to LSU and a guaranteed starting spot.
What I think her dad doesn’t understand is, there are very very very few teams that provide the platform and spotlight that LSU can in the women’s game. Unless she’s going to South Carolina, UConn, or USC. And none of those places would guarantee her a starting spot. Nobody is going to really care if you are starting at Rutgers or TCU.

I don’t know what it’s like at other schools, but it’s hard to imagine these girls not loving playing at a spotlight school like LSU. They play in front of a full house, where the fans treat them like rock stars, hanging around after the game waiting to get pics and autographs. Especially when their playing time is only going to increase. Makes no sense. I mean, are these girls really getting that much money at other schools??

Interesting. It’s been said that part of the reason she didn’t come to LSU was because none of the other freshmen wanted to play with her because she was a ball hog.

audi crooks could possibly get $1 million. i read on another board that before the conference tournaments even started that tilda trygger was offered $700K to leave nc state. bella could easily have been offered $100-$200k.

and that's why she'll end up at oklahoma. because (a) they're like 275th in scoring defense in the ncaa, and (b) theyve already proven they dont mind throwing $1 million dollars to players they THINK will make them better!

Not really. Jada, Lay, and Bella were going to be the only returning guards. Mikaylah, Z, and Lampley on the wings.

WHY DID YOU COME HERE when you KNEW there were a number of All SEC and All American players here who play YOUR position? You knew that you were gonna have to work to become a starter in this rotation. How are they not "prioritizing" her? This is some BS!!!

newsflash wings are technically guards. plus you still got two people ahead of her if you think she is just a PG.
