How many people voting can even remember that Nebraska team?

Think some Nebraska folks have figured out that you can block cookies from yahoo.com, and then vote repeatedly to their heart's content!

I agree. I saw both teams play. I've always considered the '95 Nebraska team to be the most dominant I've ever seen, in my 35 years of watching college football. But, I am an LSU alum so, I'm torn................

I do. Of course, I was like 10 or 12 watching them

Freaking Ahman Green and Lawrence Philips in the backfield. Tommie Frazier was a beast.

I just think LSU's 7 wins vs top opponents is the kicker.

Many modern teams would shite on ‘95 Nebraska. It’s about dominance relative to what was around you.

Currently:
Neb 55
LSU 45

Can't say I'm surprised. I was surprised we beat out 01 Miami considering how draped in lore that squad is.

LSU defensively would have shut down a 1 dimensional Nebraska no doubt in my mind.

Now we have 25 years of Human evolution on our side as well so there is that too.

Tigers 45-14 just like all the rest

You can vote on your phone and your computer.

What it really comes down to is how the writer's frame each team's background for the season.

They neglect to put that Nebraska only faced four ranked teams, one on the road and one at a neutral site (bowl game).

One other point that is mentioned in the stats, but never gets enough attention between our 2019 team and all of these older squads is that we played THREE more games than then. Regardless of opponent that goes a long way.

Exactly why LSU would score early and often on that
Nebraska defense that would be exhausted with the up tempo, non-substituting, hurry up offense of LSU...

Obviously no way of knowing given the quarter century separation tween athletes and the size and strength/conditioning programs today. Like comparing the armed forces now compared to Vietnam era. But those mid 90’s Nebraska rushing teams with non athletic defenders did put a stomping on the high flying aerial assault at the time in Gainesville!!

The question is "Which team had the better season?" not "Which was the better team?"

In that case, this isn't even a debate. LSU a hunnert percent

see, i see that as the exact opposite. Who had the better season is definitely debatable. Nebraska beat 4 teams that finished in the top 10, LSU 5 (please stop with the 7 top 10 wins, Texas went 7-5, they were top 10 in the meaningless preseason poll). 5 teams in the final top 8,

LSU also played 3 more games, 2 of those extras the SECCG and extra bowl/playoff game would obviously be additional top 10 games for NU as well. But Nebraska's closest game was 14 points, they beat the 4 top 10 teams by at least 24. They are the only team you can make a resume case close to LSU. Talent wise, i think LSU would blow them off the field

You know Cornhusker fans already figured that out, it’s the only way they know how to cling to relevance is pound their chest about the 90’s.
