Releasing 25 each day. I suppose Shaq and Mahmoud Abdul Rauf will be in the Top 25 to be released tomorrow.

At his Mr. Ohio Football ceremony, Corey went out of his way to thank the janitor at his school who is intellectually challenged and the janitor for 35 years. Corey told him how he had positively affected his life and thanked him.

Stovall was in the 8th grade when I was a senior at West Monroe High School. He played 8 years for the Cardinals, all pro 3 of those years, and Baker was cut by the Rams after two years. Miscarriage of justice just like Peyton not winning the Heisman.

That call on Vadal Alexander cost us the game.
re: What was your favorite moment of this past season?

When CEH ran through 6 or 7 Gumps to score.

My Cat Maniac friend from UK says that Pete - with his floppy socks - was the greatest he ever saw in college.

I click on the link and I don't see a place to cast my vote. Would love to vote.

Ed Orgeron, Joe Brady, and Joe Burrow all converging at LSU.

Only saw this great man one time and that was in April 1959 at a track meet at Northeast Louisiana State College. The Styron twins (Don and Dave) were world class athletes and set many records in the 100 yard dash and hurdles. Saw this great athlete run a dead heat in the 100 yard dash with Dave Styron (who weighed about 160 pounds) and Billy weighed at least 210 pounds. One of the greatest performances I ever saw. May he rest in peace.
re: What is your earliest recollection of LSU Football?
Posted by daytontiger on 2/9/18 at 12:33 pm to oleheat
I remember LSU losing to Bud Wilkinson's Oklahoma team in the 1950 Sugar Bowl game by a score of 35-0. That game was the beginning of my great interest in LSU football. I think I was 13.
re: Early Signing Day thoughts

Sportswriter for the Dayton Daily News said that coaches like Saban and Meyer will have a harder time "poaching" players committed to other programs with the early signing period. Ergo - they probably won't like it.

I thought possibly Michigan or Penn State but I have no way to verify that.

That might be 7 because I included: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State (Prescott), and Texas A&M (Manziel). Thanks for the help.
SEC vs. Big 10
Posted by daytontiger on 12/3/17 at 12:18 pm
I maintain - to my Buckeye buddy - the supremacy of the SEC over the Big 10 with this rationale; during the last 10 years or so, I believe that no less than 6 of the 14 SEC teams have been ranked #1 - at least once during the season - while only about 2 from the Big Ten can claim this distinction. Am I correct? I'm relying strictly on my memory.

As best I can determine, Archie Miller makes $692,000 per year. Think LSU could do much better than that.
