Will that be the norm for lady's attire there on a Saturday? ETA: talking specifically about attire at Keeneland.

Yes, absolutely. It’s the normal attire for women every day the Keeneland races are live.

Tell them to follow Keeneland on Instagram and look at the pictures.

I am from Baton Rouge, graduated from LSU, married my college sweetheart, and we moved to Lexington to start my business and our family. We love all things LSU, visiting Louisiana, eating boudin & boiled crawfish, but moving to Lexington, Kentucky was the best decision we have made in our 18 years together.
All the smart LSU Alums know exactly what they're dealing with and GTFO of the S-Hole and/or Luzianner at the first opportunity. (Mandeville Native here; the Town, not the Hospital)

You can always come back and visit for selected games, but the Red Stick Decline, combined with Tiger Stadium Atmosphere Decline makes it a No Brainer........

Kentucky is a fan base and university that I feel like flies under the radar in the conference. I’d love to do that road trip. Stoops has built a hell of a team. Wouldn’t be shocked if we lose it.

If you have ever wanted the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs experience, then you must attend Keeneland’s fall meet in Lexington. I cannot stress this enough, as you will see me mention Keeneland numerous times throughout this post. This is an internationally renowned horse track. Even if you do not like horse racing in Louisiana, or wherever you’ve been to see a horse race; this is different. It is a special event for everyone, and is the most pristine racecourse in America. Visiting LSU fans are in for a real treat having an away game in Lexington during opening weekend of Keeneland in the fall.

As a KY transplant in BTR now I have to echo this point. Keeneland is where Saudi Princes come to buy horses.

With that said, Geaux Tigers!

Can't lose to the Cats if you're Ed....forget about it. Losses like that was 2020. Was there in 2007, loss in OT sucked.

As a LSU Tiger expat living in Louisville, this is one of the best summaries of what to do in the Lex area. It is a special place up here. Too bad Tennessee and Alabama are in between. Wish there was a delete button! Geaux Tigers! Y’all come!

Currently I’m scheduled to fly into Louisville Friday morning and drive to Lexington for the weekend. The OP now has me changing my flight to early Thursday morning. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Downtown Lexington.

the #1 ranked and eventual National Champion LSU Tigers were upset by the UK Wildcats in triple overtime

All because blockhead refused to keep running Charles Scott. He was bulldozing the Cats.

Will see you there. Geaux Tigers!

Yes, was at the triple overtime game. That was painful. Also at Bluegrass Miracle game - that was not.

Something to consider for those planning on touring distilleries:

Spent a weekend in Lexington for the half marathon in 2019 (pre covid). We hired an Uber in Lexington for the Buffalo Trace distillery tour in Frankfurt. To our surprise and after the tour concluded, there were no taxis or Ubers available to get us back to Lexington from Frankfort.

Ended up hiring a hotel van to drive us back after a wedding reception ended. Really surprised that the state capital had so few options for hired rides back to Lexington.
