I called this a week ago. As soon as bama bitched about playing day games and used LSU as an example of a team that played at night I knew this game would be at 11:00. Call me paranoid or any other name you choose but it’s how the SEC works.

Hasnt Woodward been negotiating LSU getting a night game against Florida? This would be worth it if that were the case the following week.

Hanny just now: “I love a good conspiracy theory but I can’t get behind this one. It’s like paying taxes-just something you gotta do from time to time.”

Which sucks. LSU has a tradition of playing at night, just like bama has a tradition of being entitled douchebags.

This should have been the schedule:

Troy at Missouri, 11 am CT on SEC Network
Auburn at Florida, 2:30 pm CT on CBS
Vanderbilt at Ole Miss, 3 pm CT on SEC Network
Georgia at Tennessee, 6 pm CT on ESPN
Utah State at LSU, 6:30 pm CT on SEC Network

I don't think CBS contract allows for an SEC matchup to overlap their game.

The bigger questions are what is the 11am game on ESPN and the 6pm games on ESPNU/2?

No way Florida game will be at night. Look for a 2:30 CBS game

We should never ever have to play these non national stage non conference games during the day. Where is Woodward?

This might have been mentioned but Auburn/Florida as the CBS game that week could be good news for LSU/Florida potentially being a night game the following week.

I could see it stating that if a non-conference game is available, it has to go in that timeslot. When you get into the heart of conference scheduling, I doubt it's possible.

If we had the option of taking the 11 or 3, it makes sense to go with the 11 slot as it won't be quite as hot from 11-2 as it would 3-6.

It COULD be another 11 am game. I'm not going to elaborate on this, just saying it could happen.

First week of October is usually very hot. Look at the Florida and Auburn games in 2017.
