Hate all of this "alt" crap for LSU.
We should ALWAYS wear our gold helmets. ALWAYS.
We should ALWAYS wear our gold pants. ALWAYS.
We should wear our white jerseys MOST OF THE TIME, and only wear the purple ones for lesser non-conference games other than the home opener.
And THAT'S IT.
No purple or white helmets. No purple or white pants. No gold jerseys.
The ONLY exception I would consider for a variation in colors is a TRUE throwback uniform, like the ones from the 40s when we wore metallic "Old Gold" helmets, or this athletic gold one from the Billy Cannon days:

If that's been confirmed, I definitely approve.
Last year we wore it against Army with a quite favorable outcome. And it looks good.
Don't know why the Tigers have never worn gold-purple-white.

Dont understand why not do this last week in the "oven game" ? Looks terrible though would rather the purple tomorrow when the weather will be a lot better!

Meh. If you’re going white pants with white jerseys, I prefer they go full storm trooper with white helmets or go purple helmets.

Probably because the "upset potential", based on past football history, was greater with S. Alabama than UCLA. It's too risky to wear purple against a South Alabama team that's surging

It’s idiotic that the white helmet and white pants don’t match the striping pattern of the white jersey, which is the most iconic part of the LSU uniform.
If they must have alternates to have more “swag” or whatever bullshite term they use to justify wearing alternates, at least make the white helmet and white pants striping patterns match the striping patterns of the white jersey. That’s not a hard thing to do. So do it.

Why they’ve kept the template from the 07 Tulane alternate for 17 years is beyond me. It doesn’t match the rest of the aesthetic program.

They do. They look so much better. The biggest complaint I have about the whites is not enough color. LSU has the best color combo in all of sports and they forego it for white.
