Quite a few LSU players on both sides of the ball still in the NFL today. No offensive lineman though. People harp on JJ and play calling, and rightfully so, but you could lay the same amount of blame on the o-line.

The o line got their arse beat up and down the field on 1/9. LSU wasn't winning with that line performance

I didn’t remember UNC suspended almost their entire starting defense the night before the 2010 opener. Jordan still threw for 150 yards.

That game produced one of the great nights of pure melt in TD history

Even a good OL looks like crap when the D knows what plays you are running.

Why do we insist on putting this on Jefferson?

It was Les

Sure Jefferson struggled but issue was always les

I was at this game but rewatching it now makes me realize how physical that team was. There was basically zero threat in the passing game and LSU just imposed their will and shoved it down Georgia’s throat. Spoiler alert they won by a larger margin than the GOAT 2019 team did in the same game and they had Jefferson at quarterback.

The more I watched 2011 games last year, the more I realized how shitty and boring the offense really was.

Bennie Logan had some quickness for his size. What a beast.

Les’ offense was like someone choosing to take the train instead of flying in an airplane.

What pisses me off is they let Saban be a special guest on CBS during the SEC championship game vs Georgia so that he could get an up close and personal look at us while his team was resting. They knew it would be a Bama vs LSU rematch.

He already played us. Already saw us up close and Les didn’t do anything different. What advantage did he gain? Special insight from Verne/Gary?

Only thing as bad as that first half was the replay booth.

Just having this discussion with NawlinsTiger9. That first half was atrocious.

Jefferson was 2/8 for seven yards in the first half with Odell and Jarvis on the field

We honestly thought we had a shot against bama in the rematch after this performance.

It wasn’t 1970. He probably had that game in three different positions in 2011.

Toss dive 3 plays in a row to Ware with 8 in the box and Les is dumbfounded that we didn't convert 3rd and 4....

They just showed Mettenberger and Jefferson hugging and Lee standing alone looking kinda pissed on the sidelines right before the game ends. I hope to hear his story one day.

What I found most interesting was Gary saying LSU win or lose in the National Championship should get a share of the title based on performance to date

I remember. I also remember UGA dropped a wide open TD pass in the first and JJ was like 2-10 for 45 yards or something

Yea. Like he needed another look to know les would run the ball every chance he got lol

Les is an absolutely average to below average coach

His first 3 years were his best and we all know why.

2011 is the outlier and he still managed to frick that up in typical les fashion
