This isn’t an old man get off my lawn post. This is because of the post and comments that will be coming and have already been said. The older generation needs to understand the younger generation of today. Ultimately todays youth is a generation of followers and wanting to post look at me stuff on social media. That’s what they care about, they do things for reactions and to be like others, trend following is at an all time high because of social media and how easily it can be accessed and how young kids are being exposed to it. Storming the field against Ole Miss a school that LSU is so far superior to in football for a regular season game in October is embarrassing, LSU should never do that but let the kids have their fun. Throwing cans and debris on the field in March for a regular season baseball game against a program that has never won anything is again embarrassing but if the players (their peers) enjoy it and they aren’t hurting or harming anybody then let them do it.

Can’t blame it entirely all on them. Technology was designed to be addictive and brainwashing to the masses. The good thing is it only works on the weak minded. Let them do what their genetics are designed to do.

My parents went to LSU in the 80s and they threw oranges on the field until the Refs penalized the team.

That’s was 40 something years ago.

Maybe let the kids be kids.

I like The edge we have now.

Your right, the students aren’t hurting or harming anybody; but it's still and embarrassment for the school and displayed on national television.

The biggest potential issue is of what happened tonight becomes normalized and it allows the other team more time to get a pitcher ready or settle down in the situation due to the debris having to be removed. The game has been geared towards speed, limited visits, time between pitches etc. But I don’t think it will become normalized

Showing respect and being classy shouldn't be a generational thing....

It's "you're" right. And there is nothing embarrassing about it. Just a figment of your little imagination.

Ummm you have no idea what you’re talking about. Ask your parents WHY we oranges on the field.

This was completely different set of circumstances. With that you didn’t actually read the OP did you? The OP basically let thr weak-minded do what they gonna do.

Ok fine. Did you forget we're in Louisiana? As much as yall don't want to believe it Louisiana has never been "classy." Were just as redneck and rowdy as the rest of the SEC. I always laugh when people compare the classiness of various SEC fan bases. The truth is we all have a lot of classless individuals in our ranks and it's part of what makes sports better down here.

Can we Boomers just ask that the students to not throw things on the field?
Be rowdy and vulgar all you want. Just don't litter the field. Please.

I think that's a fair concession to have all LSU Fans cheering for the Tigers.

So it's like religion. I agree.
