Without the RANT LSU softball season would have just come and gone like the wind. However, this forum allows for fans to voice their displeasure when things go south and boy have they. Probably the most softball subject lines EVER! We all know Torina is going nowhere. I'm as frustrated as anyone after watching them compete all season at a high level only to fall apart/lose when the pressure is on. #1 AtM did the same thing against a very determined opponent so there is always worse no matter how bad. I can only imagine the frustration had we been ranked #1.
Personally I thought they had all the pieces in place for a nice post-season run (pitching depth, defense, super freshman at 1st base, etc.). However, it simply didn't happen. So close and yet so far. Oh well. I know the returning players and coaches are very frustrated today along w the fans. Here's to a better season in 2026. Geaux Tigers!

Just like baseball seasons without the RANT.

I listen to sports radio for a few hours a day due to driving for work. Plus I watch some sports coverage on TV. Softball talk is pretty much unavoidable right now unless you don't want to hear about college sports at all. Everyone knew LSU wasn't making it out of their regional. It was talked about all last week.

I'm not a softball fan. But if LSU is involved, I pay a bit of attention.

Did yall see what Liberty did to A&M? Guess the Aggies will be calling for their coaches job too!

Except for the "Can we afford the contract buyout" all of the termination boxes are checked. This coach has consistently been mediocre.

LSU should strive to be the best at everything they do including athletics....all athletics, whether we as Rantards care about that sport or not is irrelevant.

Softball Nikki has been at LSU way too long and has worn out her welcome.

It's way past time for her to go.

She's running on fumes and seriously needs to get the axe.

Farewell & Adieu and to all the Torina Sycophantic MA's.......

Softball is a sport that CAN turn a profit if you are the best. Oklahoma softball turned a profit last year. Strive to be the best! There should be no other option.

LSU has everything to be successful at softball. And we had more success under our previous head coaches with paying much less and with much worse facilities at the head coach's disposal. We know Beth is coming back because our AD gives out the worst contracts. But she better be feeling fire next year.

Just a rumor?

Softball is more fun to watch than baseball for sure.

My daughter played softball from 5 years old through her senior year in high school, never missed a game.

I’ll watch softball any day over baseball .
