LSU softball has under achieved under Beth Torina.

They are always at the bottom and offensive stats. They can’t hit they can’t hit for power. They look for walks all the time the players come there and they don’t get better. They have talent they have a third base that’s batting .189 a catcher that can’t hit and is batting .239 I leftfielder that batting .247.

Here's my guess. You watched less than 5 games. Saw they lost when you opened TD. Pulled up the stats and proceeded to cry about it on tigerdroppings.

LSU is not worried about being elite in softball. we only care because we are coaches/parents of players/hardcore fans of the sport, etc.

We all know the drill. They play well enough to host a regional and then either under achieve in the regional or get blown out in the 3 game playoff. Georgia looked so much better at the plate against LSU - it was like night and day. The Bulldogs can hit! LSU is a top 20 team and that's about it. Beth will never win anything at LSU. She's making good money so she ain't complaining. Everyone else is. LSU deserves better. That's my take and has been for a while. How you can beat another SEC team (Aub.) 25-0 and then only have 1 hit in 6 innings against next opponent is pretty extreme. No consistency - besides making a regional. Not good enough.

Correct, they had a slow start however if you look at in conference hitting, heading into last night they were 6th in hitting , 4th in runs scored, 4th in extra base hits. In conference stats are more indicative of team hitting because all teams play SEC teams not a non conference schedule like Oklahoma and others played. Agree they need better players, next class will be the hitting coach 1st high school class that he recruited, we will see what type of players he can recruit.

The issue is when Dobson went to Team USA Leftwich took over recruiting and it shows. The best players this year are transfers, it shouldn’t be that way. My guess they will have to go get 5-7 more portal players to fill the void left behind from Leftwich.

No, I watch every LSU softball game for years and they’ve under achieved. It’s not just this year. It’s unexcused Hable to lose at home to Southeastern Louisiana to go out to Stanford and score all your runs and winning and not score again the next two games go out to Tempe Arizona get run ruled by San Diego State go look up the stats

You’re right she doesn’t she can’t get hitters to come to LSU year after year LSU struggles to hit against good teams and she can’t get hitters to come there
