I just looked it up and crimegrade.org has Baton Rouge as C+ in safety, Oxford as C, and Tuscaloosa as D+

We is poor. We can no longer say “at least we aren’t Mississippi.” I
Mean Louisiana is a backward and dysfunctional state. Own it . Low in education. High in incarceration.

Please spare me the BS that Ole Miss and Bama are far superior academic institutions to LSU.

I’ve said this before, but I work at a company that hires kids from almost every SEC school. The Ole Miss kids are far and away the most poorly prepared and underperforming. Miss state kids seem to be well above them. The only way my son would be at Ole Miss is a full scholarship.

I don’t know where the myth about Ole Miss and Alabama came from, but I assume it’s just another thing the rant got wrong.

Paying out of state tuition to go to either is an absolute waste of money

Thanks. I now know crimegrade.org is a laughably unreliable source. Going by actual crime statistics and reality those grades are absurdly retarded.

Hilarious that people are so blinded by their purple and gold glasses they get upset about this. How much of a soft, pathetic pussy can you possibly be?

Does LSU’s research total include its Med Schools too? It has 2 of them.

Biggest problem we have..

How much of this research ends up moving away after graduation? Vs how much stays in Louisiana?

Props to Tate for what he has done for LSU. Couldn’t be in better hands.

The problem is Louisiana itself. If we can figure out how to keep graduates here we would be great.

Spend a couple grand and put Troy Middleton’s name back on the library and fire the DEI scamsters.

Tate has been doing great as the school’s leader so far.......... successful athletic programs
How is C.R.Tate responsible for successful athletic programs at LSU?

Because they spent less of the taxpayers’ money on “research activity?”

LSU is a research university. They spend taxpayer money on research. What's the problem?

I'd say the gravitational wave discovery was money well spent.

You just need to accept that Louisiana is a satellite of Texas (especially in the Nafta 2.0 era) and we just provide labor

Money for research has zero to do with NIL. Research funds come from grants from the federal government, private companies, and foundations. None of that money is available for NIL.

You want Middleton's name restored on one of the worst buildings on campus that's also set to be demolished in the next 5-10 years?

Don’t know about claiming elite status, but I know a number of kids from LA that are attending both of the schools because the scholarship opportunities were much better than what LSU was offering.
