Dabo earned the right for one more year just based on what he's accomplished at Clemson, but If I was him, I would start making an exit plan.

Dabo has done too much for Clemson to get fired after this season, and honestly, when he is done, I bet they give him a "retirement" out and pay him his salary to be a school ambassador or some shite.

The man won't have to work a day in his life unless he can't sit still. He wants to upright that ship and will stay as long as he can.

Great coach that refused to adjust to the NIL at first. I hope he adapts and finds a way to enjoy it.

I really like him. Hope he figures it out but sometimes the game or the times can pass us by.
If they fire him today, they owe him like
$58 million.

Lincoln Riley? USC isn't the best team around but they're 6 - 2 right now.

Year Buyout Amount
2026 $57.0 million
2027 ~${Remaining Compensation / ~ $57.0M–$60.0M}
2028 ~$48.5 million
2029 ~$37.0 million
2030 ~$22.5 million
2031 ~$11.5 million

If Dabo Swinney Leaves for Another Job

• To another college team: If Swinney voluntarily leaves Clemson for another college coaching job, he owes the university a sliding-scale buyout ($3 million in 2026–2027, $2 million in 2028–2029, and $1 million in 2030).

• The "Alabama Clause": If he leaves specifically to become the head coach at Alabama, he owes Clemson 150% more than the standard collegiate buyout.

• To the NFL: If he leaves for an NFL head-coaching position, he owes Clemson $0.

• Offset language: The contract features no offset language, meaning Clemson must pay the full termination amount even if Swinney immediately takes another high-paying coaching job.

If he simply gets fired and then looks for a job, he still gets all of his buyout. My exit strategy would be to stick it out until they fire me, then look for a job...if I feel like it.

They've beaten Fresno St., ULL, Rutgers (barely), Penn St. (barely),and Washington (barely).

They've been stomped by Oregon, who isn't that good, and Wisconsin.

Wisconsin is the only ranked team out of those at the moment.

I bet they lose in convincing manner to OSU, Indiana, and UCLA.
