The Vols dropped out of the top 25. 5 of the top 6 teams are from the SEC in the D1 poll.

Wake and Florida also went 2of3 so I didnt figure LSU would lose the top spot, but I thought Vandy going 2of3 to #6 South Carolina would have bumped them past Florida (without looking at their SOS this far)

Here's the Collegiate Baseball Ranking list (UK moved up 2 spots), sometimes the link doesn't work because it shows as "not secure":

2. Vanderbilt (29-7) 491 2
3. Wake Forest (31-5) 489 4
4. Arkansas (29-7) 487 7
5. Florida (30-7) 485 6
6. South Carolina (30-6) 483 3
7. Virginia (31-6) 480 5
8. Arizona St. (25-10) 479 10
9. Kentucky (28-7) 477 11
10. Louisville (26-9) 475 8
11. Stanford (23-10) 469 9
12. Texas (26-12) 467 12

Another week another L for the “LSU won’t be #1 this week” crowd.

Kentucky still 1 in RPI, South Carolina 2, LSU up to 3 in RPI

Virginia fell in RPI after losing series to Pitt

LSU has played 3/4 top 5 RPI teams.

4 because LSU is #3.

Can’t be! I read the rant and know after game 2 this weekend we sucked worse than any team to ever play baseball.

I thought this team wasn't good enough to host a regional?

The greatest team to ever take the field less than a year ago is unranked.

The previous 2 National Champs are also unranked.

LSU is #1 in country and technically #6 in the SEC.

What a game.

I wasn't sure if they would stay at #1, but I'm glad that they did.

Mother's Day weekend is shaping up to be a great weekend for SEC baseball. SEC rankings:

#1 Vandy @ #3 UF
#4 SC @ #2 Ark

I also think it will be the weekend LSU finally takes over the SEC West lead from Ark.

Edit: fixed the second SC team to Ark

Pretty slim margin between those two. If Vandy sweeps @ Tennessee (even though they are not the Tennessee everyone thought they were) and LSU loses 1 to Ole Miss, doesn't Vandy take the top spot next week?

1-1. Should be 2-1, but they chickened out

As of today there isn’t another team close to that record against top opponents like these. It’s why LSU is clearly still ranked #1
