Yeah well he put this year's team together too? He gets credit for both. He's had more failed hires than successful ones at this point.

And Bonuad nothing to do with that.

It’s great that Les hired Aranda but O needs to his on his coordinator hires at higher rate than 1/4

he did, although Aranda was from Les. And Burrow and Brady are gone

Bo Pelini should've never gotten such a big contract in the first place. Highly doubt there was a market for Pelini to make him such a highly paid FBS coordinator. Pelini himself wanted to resurrect his career, we didn't need to overpay for that shite.

That what pisses me off. Fine-you think he's your man, get him. But then to overpay him makes this an unsustainable endeavor.

In the process we lost 5-star Marcel Brooks, 4-star Ika and a few other players. The Bo P. hire has been a complete disaster.

How much for all this?

CEO is on the clock now. Lsu, the fan base, the players, etc. should never accept another coordinator buyout under Ed. after Pelini et al.

ow there is talk of buying out this current round of mistakes. This doesn't seem like a sustainable trajectory for the program.

Is this coming out of your bank account? Why do you care? The entire economics of college football are out of whack to begin with. Someone higher up the chain than you determined that paying buyouts on top of new contracts is financially more responsible than to keep shitty coaches and not pay buyouts and pay for new coaches. If they put buyouts into the contracts, they have a plan for dealing with them.

Rumored Sarkisian is getting $3.5m from Bama. He's already making $2.5m, which is one of the highest in the country. Top 5 I believe.

Pete Golding, the Assistant DC basically, gets $1.1m and he's terrible.

O doesn’t negotiate the contract.

We’re LSU. Money is never a factor. You’re over here trying to argue that firing Canada which led to us winning a national championship was a mistake?

Truly, this sums it up perfectly. I believe last year was great because we had the right coordinators who did the REAL coaching and CEO was “smart” enough to stay out of their way. What we saw before last season, as well as this season, is the limits of CEO to coach a team.

There wasn't, but it's who O wanted and since he was a head coach at a smaller school in his hometown, I guess they decided to offer a lot of $ to persuade him. Since he was so good the 1st time around, it's hard to believe LSU's D was so bad. But a lot has changed with how teams operate since that time.

People are never happy. When mistakes are made O has shown a willingness to correct it. Last year’s $4.1 million for the playoff games more than made up for $1.7 million for Canada. Last year brought in plenty of money to make up for these mistakes.

O should watch some tape or meet with a few guys before making hires. Somehow he didn’t know Canada’s style, nor did he ever think that Pelini might not be up to date in defending modern offenses.

And there were no oddities with the roster, with time to prepare underclassman or with injuries.

You can't let O (or any of the coaches) 'off the hook', but to pretend there were no bizarre, once-in-a-generation circumstances with this team is just not being intellectually honest.
