Such an ignorant statement. Such ignorance. We have moved up about 1-2 spots since 2000

We were at about 11 or 10 all time and now we are 9

I don't have a problem with this list. I thought they wussed out by putting the top 5 as tied for 1st.

I don't see any problem with a list like this being limited to whatever number of teams qualify - I think 6 might be the limit on blue bloods even. LSU has had too many bad eras. They were good long ago and they've been good in the Saban/Miles era. I wouldn't call them a "blue blood" and I'm very happy with a top 10.

LSU is definitely not a blue blood. 9 is an excellent ranking.

Who the hell makes a list of 8? Was this designed just to piss of the fanbases of 9 and 10?

It makes a lot of sense, there's a big dropoff after Nebraska to us historically although we've caught up a lot. I don't consider Nebraska a blue blood anymore.

It is very hard to argue with those rankings. Maybe Texas is a little low.

I'd pick Canes over Big Blue.

If Nebraska doesn't turn things around soon, they will fade into irrelevance.

15 years ago we would have been around 20.

Actually Florida St was lower than LSU. Nebraska was #8

That make much more sense. The term Blue Blood indicates a historical lineage, Florida State's lineage of national prominence is younger than LSU's. Bobby Bowden accounts for 58% of their total wins

LSU is at 9 and Nebraska is at 8. Don't know what it would take to catch Nebraska

Historically you say! Well FSU was a dammed girl's school until ? In football, nothing until the 70's? How is this more deserving than LSU? I've not seen anything in the 1st 10-12 replies to this thread and no not going to ESPN site...Iboycottdit

Stop yelling. FSU is ranked lower than LSU and nobody has said FSU was more deserving.

Makes sense.

If we win a 4th national title this year and Leonard Fournette wins the Heisman, we will still likely be behind UT and Nebraska.

Both schools have over 100 more victories than us; both have four national titles. We'd tie UT with two Heisman winners. Nebraska has four (three individuals).

Shoot Penn State has a better overall record. They too only have one Heisman and we beat them currently in national titles, 3 to 2.

Maybe you should go to the site so you can read the list. FSU is not on it as a blue blood and they are ranked below us.
