Agree, it should be Oregon #1, then Bama/LSU tied at second....and I would put you ahead of Alabama based on their first two games but that would never happen from sportswriters. Stanford should have fallen out of the Top 10 after that gamw with Army and nothing impressive to offset it, and Louisville shouldn't be in it at all. Hell, Kentucky hung around with L'ville all game.

Tennessee is not a great team but they are an SEC team and Oregon destroyed them. The game was not as close as the score.

"I think it's a joke that Louisville is still rated ahead of FSU"

You can thank Florida for this. Unofrtunately due to this, they are going to be going to be up here until they lose.

The 5 teams ranked behind them would all be favored against them, IMHO.

Seems about correct. I would have FSU ahead of Louisville too.

The AP poll is giving LSU credit for Mett's improved play. They are still holding out on FSU until they see if he wets his pants later this year - he has done pretty good so far.

UCLA is the most interesting team to me. Back to back weeks at Stanford, at Oregon (oct 19 & 26). That might be the next time we see some movement in the polls.

We might see some movements for LSU after the next 3-5 weekends. Wow, we got such a long road ahead of us, but I am ready for Auburn this Saturday. LSU 24-14 win over Auburn.

Oregon did the same thing against Tennessee in 2010 and lost the national title to Auburn then got spanked by the Tigers in 2011 season opener. I still don't buy Oregon being an unanimous #2 until I see them play someone.

They moved up to #1 in my poll, which is just as important as the AP poll.
Let's jump for joy over that.

Ratings mean nothing right now- I say A&M could manhandle most of the Top 10 teams right now, but they had the misfortune of playing Bama. Same holds true for LSU, when you consider they play Bama, A&M and Georgia. For some reason, every year the media builds up certain teams or players- case in point, Clemson and Louisville (Teddy Bridgewater).

LSU easily should be a unanimous #1. In addition Mettenberger, Magee and Landry should be the 3 Heisman finalists and the only ones invited to Heisman award ceremony.

I was bitching so bad when the preseason polls had us as the 6th ranked SEC team. Now things are finally where they need to be until we beat Bama!

Only if those 2 are undefeated and LSU has a loss. An undefeated SEC champion would be unanimous #1 in the computers and play for the title.

Michigan jumped 6 spots after beating an overrated ND team, but only falls 4 spots when they were 1 yard away from losing to a 37-pt underdog that was 1-11 last season. Makes sense.
