Actually going to into the final day lsu was in a unique position to win it all if NMB won the 100 and 200 because of (maybe oregon?) had a bad showing that outdoor season. He pulled a hammy and of course the rest was history

We weren’t the favorite but because of external factors we’d have won it all had he not gotten injured

Yeh, that was 2016, his Junior year. We would have still barely lost to Florida bc they won 400 and 400h late, but we might have been favored or close going into the final day.

Uh, that’s because she was in the hospital with mental health issues. It’s not like she was on vacation and just decided not to train.

It just seems like there is always an injury, DQ, DNF, FS, underperformance or some other crazy thing that happens to this team at nationals. It's like LSU can produce national champions every year, but it comes at the cost of the team.

Exactly. That seems to be a mark of Dennis Shaver’s teams at nationals.

Looking through the start lists, this is LSU's title to basically walk away with. Everything looks covered up. Nicely done.

Bad as I hate it, looks like a lock. Plus - and no jab - it would prevent a possible trophy goose egg for LSU sports in 20/21. As in all sports, male or female. Conference or national. That's pretty rare.

Wow, what a year full of suck.

Didn’t realize we didn’t even have a conference title.

Come on, men’s track. We need you!

Her best race being at the end of the season is the definition of peaking.

And she was in the hospital, so...

Can’t believe Symone mason and Thelma Davies looked so terrible in the 200 yesterday. I swear our girls annually get hammered the night before prelims

Our girls shite the bed, too. Won't be an Arky repeat. Our Men may not even score 10 points total. Total disappointment. Arkansas men's track is a shell of itself.

Women still have opportunities tomorrow to get points..
