As usual the false equivalency. “his first season” where McMahon had zero injury excuses yet outperformed by a 1st time HC in PJ.

You want to talk about fricking false equivalency. Baby Pearl inherited a team with returning players from a Final Four team, with portal players recruited by Big Pearl before he retired. McMahon inherited a moribund program facing NCAA sanctions and an empty roster.

I got ya false equivalency.

Oh the irony, there were no sanctions and McMahon not only turned returning players away but recruited a top 17 class in year 1. And those returning Auburn “players” from last year, 1 of them came back that actually plays. The other 2 avg between 1.3 and 5mpg this year. One has appeared in 21 games, the other has played in 6 so try getting your facts straight instead of being dishonest in every single post you make.

It's the "climate change" of excuses. It can't be conclusively proven, but no matter how much actual data exist to refute the argument, proponents just continue to yell to fit their agenda.

Reed, in his last full season averaged as many ppg in SEC play as Mike Williams and the same amount of rebounds as Fountain. Yet, he was the lynchpin to great success last year...some say because he was just a threat from 3 point range...even though he averaged less than 1 3 point attempt per game.

Thomas actually did play in 5 games vs SEC opponents or those equivalent to SEC teams. LSU's record in those games: 1-4 with a 15 point average margin of defeat in the 4 losses.

Speaking of Fountain, he took Reed’s job because he outplayed him.

These four teams should skip the SEC tournament. It’s a joke; at most, take the top 12 for tournament.

Yes, they were promising freshmen, but unless they are future lottery picks their progress will be a work in progress and inconsistent. The threat of sanctions was used against him in recruiting his first two years until the agreement was reached. Bruce recruited the current Auburn team from high school and the portal before he retired. Its a hell of a lot easier to recruit coming off a Final Four year than a poor season which was greatly affected by the loss of Reed and Ward. So again, one team's makeup was not like the other nor was the backdrop they recruited under. Pettiford and Dedan Thomas are much similar players and skill sets. Thomas missed almost the entire SEC season. Those are facts.

MM not developing or correctly utilizing talent is not the same as not having it. McMahon needs to be at a mid-major, not a power conference. It is that simple.
yep, been saying this since the beginning… one, he wasn’t cut out to coach in power conference like the SEC conference..don’t think he had an inkling about the competition to begin with in this conference … second, you can’t tell me all these players that came and played for McMahon in the last 4 years all were bad and sucked..it seemed McMahon coached players to play his way and not to their strengths…he never took advantage of players skills…aka, McKinnon, Nwoko, Mosley, PJ Carter, Sutton etc…and previous players from past teams…

You are pathetic. Nothing but excuses.

In the real world, closers get the coffee.

The LOSERS curl up in a ball and cry like PUSSIES.
