Recruits are just recruits until they sign. The coaches can’t even mention their names to the media until the sigh their LOI. Recruiting is different, the recruits are looking out for their individual best interest and so is the school. After they become part of the team, it’s the teams best interest. Opting out / quitting Before you are ever draft eligible is shameful and shows a lack of heart. It shows that you put your personal interests ahead of the team and that selfishness will be noted by NFL GMs. If a school doesn’t sign a recruit, it’s not quitting on them, it’s not signing them. If they sign the kid then pull the scholarship, that’s a different story.

Jesus christ, not even close. Players do not have to sign, they can commit and decommit. Quitting when your teammates are counting on you is totally different.

It’s exactly the same. That recruit was “counting on” having that scholarship.

Downvote this if you want but I’m 100% correct. If it’s good for LSU to do it to players, then it’s good for the players to do it to LSU.
he is talking about people that ACTUALLY WERE ON THE TEAM DUMBASS. You’re 100% incorrect frickhead.

I know, but I kind of feel sorry for him. He seems to be mentally fragile and reaching out for friends. His posts appear to be a cry for help.

If you plan to quit on the team before the season, don't bother showing up for spring practice and if you try to quit at any point in the season, then your scholarship and your spot on the team will be terminated.

You're calling it a business decision? Well then I'm sure you if you work out enough and stay in good shape, you'll go pretty high in the draft. Here's a coupon for one month of an LA Fitness membership.

. BULL shite. Recruits “soft arse commitment” to LSU can and have changed on signing day PLUS ALL OF THEM HAVE MULTIPLE OFFERS IN THOSE SITUATIONS.

Bro did you forget that you are an LSU fan and that you are rooting for the team not the player? Why would you take an unnecessary, unsolicited middle ground opinion that works against your own rooting interest?

You fricking jock sniffers are a trip.

Yeah, it's kind of like the interests of LSU as an institution comes first before the player's professional prospects?

Good to see you acknowledge that reality.

Life isn't fair son.

The original OP was talking about Opt outs and quitting. Had nothing to do with players flipping on signing day or schools passing on players prior to signing.
Quitting on your team AFTER becoming a part of that said team is the topic.
Not exactly apple’s to apple’s.
But spin it how you wish, everyone’s got an agenda now days.
