One thing is for sure, Lester is never short on excuses. He can find plenty of reasons LSU can't compete.

Struggle had come to be known as one thing under Miles...not winning or seriously competing for championships.

What most people are worried about now is the sudden acceptance of Orgeron possibly setting a new standard for the term "struggle".

That's an interesting way to put it.

We were constantly told that people learn from their mistakes after all.

Where was Malachi Dupre going? Don't ignore the rest of the post because it shits on your narrative. Even with all three of them coming back LSU is not going to be better next year.

Thanks nostradamus.

I would like to see more than 3 games to determine that.

We should field a potentially elite defense next year should Aranda still be here.

Promoting from within is done so there is a seamless transition, and that you can keep what's good and tweak the bad.

Now we hear we have discipline issues, recruiting holes, and we need to rebuild.

It's a bait and switch. O was hired for stability not to run off a dozen or so players and to suspend another dozen. He was supposed to revamp the O not start all over.

A coach has never gotten better with more experience?

What should we field if he isn't?

Assuming he leaves, isn't the plan to bring in Mark Vanables? We're just going to keep reloading with the best. I think $2.5 mil gets us Venables, right?

Some do. LSU was thought to be the type of job in terms of pay and prestige, that would hire based on performance, not some vague hope that someone who was historically bad, got better by finding out how to shirk all responsibility.

he's the worst coach an SEC school ever had. E V E R

even if he gets better and improves to "mediocre", he's still not good

well our draft-eligible CBs are not that good and i can see them leaving so with our DL and LB talent being too young to leave, i can see it. Aranda must stay, though, for that to happen. however, if Aranda leaves, that's on O (for being so coordinator-dependent)

our offense is likely going to look like a Miles offense

super young and inexperienced QB, mediocre (for LSU) RBs, and the same OL/WR issues that we face this year. if we somehow lose Canada and have to install a new system it could get really ugly on that side of the ball

I'm sure there is a list of young up and coming DCs with a 3-4 background ready to take over when Aranda leaves. It's gotta be right there in the binder.

And isn't this a whole other can of worms given our setup?

There is no recipe to plan for the NFL & transfer attrition we've had to go thru the last 2 years.

Our most talented players are freshmen. Our returning players have disappointed.

We're still playing with Miles' shitty OL targets.

Our best Def player has been fricking around all summer

Our best DL didn't play

We have the worst WR group in 25 years
Goalpost on wheels again.
Under Miles it was said LSU underperformed with the most talent in CFB, now there is no talent to be found in the past 4 top ten classes.

How am I making excuses?

I've been 100% right on what this team is even before we hired O. I said this would be a 4-5 loss team. Everyone cursed me.

I said last week Fitzgerald would kill us. Everyone laughed at me.

I haven't made one excuse for O because this is exactly who I thought we'd be no matter who the damn coach is.

If and when coach O proves to not be the guy I'll be the first one to say it.

The same way people like you prob cursed me & SFP and others all the way back in 2008 when we said Les Miles was a sham. So frick off
