LSU is in Offensive Re-build Mode Folks!
Posted by LSUgrad1998 on 11/7/18 at 9:18 am20107
I don't understand all the negativity after the Bama game. I wasn't pleased with the loss, but really didn't expect a win. The LSU offense has two HUGE issue. 1. The OL. Our OL cannot block or match up with elite D-lineman one on one, so TE's and backs have to stay in to help block. This limits the use of a spread with 4-5 WR sets, or a pass catching TE going over the middle and a RB catching passes out of the backfield. The OL must improve drastically, luckily we have youth here, but more recruiting needs to be done. 2. LSU lacks that elite RB that is dynamic and a threat to score on every play. Hopefully Noah Cain and possibly John Emery could be the answer if we can land their signatures. Brossette and Helaire don't strike fear in defenses. It's time to get Chris Curry and Tae Provens more playing time. Let's see what they can offer.

Yes, halfway through the 20 year rebuild. How can people get frustrated and not see how good the 2028 offense will be?

Installing the Lou Tepper D was only a 4-year project.

Sooooo, you start your thread by saying you don’t understand the negativity and then point out the exact reasons for the nagativity...
LSU has been in an offensive rebuild since 2007,, with one exception year being 2013. Other over-arching inability to have anything that resembles an offense is the reason for the negativity and concern. It’s not just the Alabama game. It’s week in and week out every single year.

its funny how the propaganda machine gives Steve the benefit of the doubt, but the same courtesy wasn't given to Canada last year....I wonder why that is?

Why?

Nope, this is what O and E would have us believe, but we're not falling for that bullshite. The right scheme and the right coaches/TEACHERS, we're ALREADY in kick arse mode. The O-Line got smoked at Florida and especially against Sabama because of this outdated dinosaur scheme. Ensminger does not know what he is doing, plain and simple. Freeze and Dabo and others GET IT. Unfortunately O and E are old school, have their pride and egos, and do not get it.

I can feel that Sarcasm dripping off your every word. Teams that have beaten Bama in the past have utilized the Spread, including the likes of Ole Miss, Clemson, Auburn, Texas A&M, etc. They had an O-Line that could hold up to the Bama pass rush to give their receivers time to work down the field.

The binder said no rebuild...was that a lie to get the job???

You mean funny how the propaganda machine gives Aranda such wiggle room when slamming CSE

It goes beyond what we saw on Saturday. It's 10 years of offensive ineptitude. It's an OC that no other Power 5 school in the nation would even consider hiring, who is running an offense that's ranked 104th.

Their o-linemen were not more talented than our o-linemen. You just don't get it. The scheme itself relieves the pressure on the o-linemen. There are shifts and motions and misdirections involved. It keeps the d-linemen a bit off balance. Why can't you get this through your thick skull?

Chris Curry was highly recruited. Play the guy.
Note: Not many teams beat Bama on the field or in recruiting. Maybe Saban leaves Bama for the Browns. One can certainly hope so.

Oh great another Offensive Rebuild! Oh and more rebuilding on the OL and Dl. Wow! insert any year in the last 8 and we have heard the same excuse. LSU fans are tired of hearing this every year. I think 10-2 would soften the blow but LSU fans want playoffs not just good records.

Yes it was a lie.

People keep emphasizing the bama game and our offensive production. Yea, it sucked but any body with any football sense saw this coming! It's been the story all year, except uga. This is about changes needing to be made for the bigger picture not just one game. Previous staff was fired for exactly this.
Nothing against SE but, he is not the answer to turn years of putrid offensive production around.
If CEO doesn't make change, basically rides and die with his buddy, he's no different than miles.
