Nobody was better at not having their teams prepared for SEC road games than Brian Kelly

And 2002 was a miracle we won that one...

Vegas thinks we will win comfortably. Makes me feel so much better about it.

I hate when stats like these are presented without any context whatsoever. Yeah, that sounds like a long time, but that entire 24 year period includes a grand total of two games at Kentucky.

That’s true, but LSU always struggles up there and Kentucky always keeps it close vs Kiffin. The spread is way too high for this one.

Worst coach in program history. Given the resources he had to succeed, inexcusable.

Well maybe if Les Miles would've given Charles Scott the fricking ball a few times more in the second half

I think it may have been more of a Brad White defense keeping them close rather than Kentucky keeping them close.

Historically this is also the type of game that Lane struggles. I don't think that's the case this time. He's pushing all the right buttons, and I expect LSU to come out ready and focused.

LSU leads the series 66-42-4 through the 2024 season, with two LSU wins being vacated.

This is a really big game for this team and this program. Have to learn how to go on the road and win SEC games in hostile environments against good opponents that you’re better than. It’s the next step. Learning how to do it comes with showing yourself you can do it, which will just create confidence the next time you have to do it.

A lot of people watched the games this week and said “Kentucky sucks, Auburn sucks, and Tennessee sucks. I’m not worried about those games anymore. Split the Bama and Texas games and we’re 10-2 and in the playoffs.” But a lot of others came away with “it’s really hard to win in the SEC on the road.” Count me in the latter category. If you guaranteed me a 1-point win in Lexington right now, I’d absolutely take it.

But I do think we take that next step and win by 10+. It will be a great test for the coaches and players, and I think we pass it with flying colors.

Kentucky offense is currently ranked 107th in total offense. Anyone know who their OC is....?

Yep, context matters:

One of those games (2007) was a national championship year anyway. Maybe they overlooked the wildcats after all the wins they had piled up.

The last one was Orgeron's final season when the team was not playing well anywhere against anybody.

LK will have the Tigers ready for this one.
