I just worry about starting on floor first. It’s our best event and it’s the best in the country. Judging historically is tighter the first rotation. But hopefully they judge equally across the board

My apologies, meant to say Saturday for the Nat'l Championship. NCAA website and 2 other Louisiana sports sites say it's 4pm EST/3pm CST on ABC.

Congrats to Haleigh Bryant, she won the All-Around title. She is very special.

I just read since 2018, every team that has beat OU has ended on beam.

That’s what I worry about too. The positive being hopefully we can get some adrenaline out on floor. Let the vaulters do a floor warmup. lol we get more practice on this same floor tomorrow right? Hoping that helps with landings on vault and bars. Also how they keep chase in vault.

Highest score 2024 for OK is 198.950.
Highest score 2024 for LSU 198.475.

That's a big difference 0.475. Let's hope we have some luck Saturday and OK stumbles a few times.

No all just hopeful she’ll realize ga sucks and come here because I love her routines! Wouldn’t need her for vault but drool thinking about a beam lineup with her, Konnor, Aleah of last year, Kaitlin . I mean om can you imagine?!

Saturday is ABC at 4:00 Eastern Time, so 3:00 down there.
ESPN+ will have event coverage like they did today.

Does she win or do we have to wait for the second session?

OU is boring AF on floor
Oklahoma's strategy for years, which has paid off for them, is to perform the easiest, lowest risk, least exciting routines possible in all four rotations but perform them flawlessly.

Don’t you get a much lower score if you perform a routine with easy difficulty even if you perform it perfectly?

It’s going to take a miracle to beat OU

That’s not really the case In collegiate gymnastics using the old 10 point scale.

Potential individual national champs if their score holds up through the night session:

Beam: Haleigh Bryant 9.9500 (2 way tie)
Floor: Aleah Finnegan 9.9625
All around: Haleigh Bryant 39.7125

Already beaten in the 2nd semi final:
Bars: Haleigh Bryant 9.9250 (5 way tie)

The most difficult routine starts at 10.00 difficulty score, then judges take off fractions from 10.00 start value for every mistake and that will be your score. So if you only had one tiny mistake, then your score may be 9.9875 If you have an easier routine, judges may start you at 9.950, if you perform it perfectly no errors, then you may get 9.950. Haleigh Bryant usually has some of the most difficult routines. That's how they do it in olympics and international competition. But I think in college there is a grade for difficulty and you get bonus for higher difficulty. In college you have to meet minimum level difficulty.
