Anyone who doesn’t mind these games being scheduled isn’t a season ticket holder. FBS vs FCS games can’t end soon enough, complete garbage.

Grambling has one of the greatest college football coaches of all time in it's history. Grambling has had 120 players drafted into the NFL draft, including a Super Bowl MVP, and heisman trophy finalist.

Latech doesn't have a coach in its history that comes close to Eddie Robinson. Latech has had 75 players drafted into the NFL draft, and has Terry Bradshaw.

Is this a serious comparison?

and?

they’re an FCS school with a budget half of La Tech’s.
Tech is in a conference that has an actual National TV deal.
Tech finds themselves on the schedules of at least one SEC or Big XII teams pretty much every year. Grambling has played ONE power 5 school in the last decade.

nobody outside of Grambling considers them very important to college football.

Eddie Robinson? yes. very important.
Grambling? ehh not so much.

Grambling has had 4 players drafted since 2001, only one since 2006
Tech has 21 drafted in that time frame.

The name on the helmet doesn't mean anything when it comes to how good the teams are today, and what their relevance is to modern college football.

Tiger Band's version sounds better, more polished.

Sort like Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis sang Rock N Roll better than Little Richard and Chuck Berry who invented Rock N Roll. More polished. Got it.

Stop it.
The statement made was about the importance of the program was / is to "modern" college football. LaTech registers with NO ONE in terms of notoriety, or "relavance" to "modern" college football compared to Grambling. "Modern" college football didn't start in 2001. LaTech is still known to most outside the state, for it's women's basketball program (which ain't so hot nowadays either). You must be about 22 years old.

Just don’t get it. There’s only one FCS team we should be playing and that’s NDSU

Don’t mind Tulane since it’s a tradition.

I think SU vs. Catholic High would be more competitive.

Anybody older than 50 should understand the social significance of these games. If you attended LSU when they finally integrated the sports teams, this has been a long time coming. The excuse was always Baton Rouge couldn’t handle it.

Seeing as the Human Jukebox was playing Neck before the Golden Band from Tigerland. I believe they should come to Tiger Stadium and remind our band how the song is played.
The current GBFTL is like LSU football under Curley Hallman. Perfect correlation.

Talley and Queen have pretty much destroyed the program.

Swor, Rouse and Wickes were a long time ago in a Galaxy far far away.

Bro, you realize dancing and playing power chords over and over is nothing really special.

Boy are you in for the shock of your life. The Jukebox is much much more than that lol.

Who said “Modern” ? Yes Tech is a bigger program now but that’s bc something called integration happened. You’re stating an obvious point, but if we’re talking about the HISTORY of college football, then Grambling is a much more important football program than any other program in this state outside of LSU......

I’m not sure what you’re missing about what we’re saying.

Problem is, LSU (and many others) aren’t using home games to play the one P5 game, they’re using neutral sites. Assuming the Texas game is played and including the UCLA game in 2024, LSU will have hosted THREE P5 OOC games in Tiger Stadium in 12 seasons. Terrible.

Why shouldn't we play an FCS opponent (who's also in-state, so we can keep the money in Louisiana) when OU, Alabama and Clemson are all playing FCS opponents? I don't like that it's the reality, but until they change the scheduling guidelines, it would be a poor strategy on our part to schedule more difficult games in the cupcake slots than our counterparts.

None of these schools should play FCS teams.
I’m not dumping on LSU here, it all goes to the greed and money grubbing that has taken over. They added games to the schedule to charge more, but they didn’t make them contests. LSU is just part of the crowd.
