I agree with the OP. The longer shoulder stripes look awful. Just as bad as the "suspenders" look from a few years ago.
They need to find a way to still keep the traditional stripe look but incorporate it better into the newer jersey styles that have almost no sleeves. They've been trying different crap for the last 7 or 8 years and none of them look good.

Pretty sure they will wear the version of the New template that they wore against state last year for 2017 and on. It's nikes newest design so I'd say it'll be similar just with the usual shoulder stripes.

I wasn't a fan of the throwback uni vs Miss State last year, but that look of Gold Jerseys and White helmets and pants we wore against Notre Dame in 1997 was AWESOME and needs to make an encore performance.

No once a year for a alternate uniform. That is what makes the all whites and the white helmet, white pants, purple jersey combo so sharp. We don't see them very often and that is what makes them special. I still want to see a set 1958 throwback uniform on the field.

I am generally opposed to changing the uniforms in any way, however I did like to gold jerseys. HOWEVER I am totally opposed to the white helmets! LSU wears gold helmets and it is what makes us stand out. Everyone has white helmets and it makes us more like everyone else BUT WE ARE LSU DAMMIT!!!

IF LSU were to do a blackout, it would need to be an exact copy of Neville's uniforms, except with LSU's helmet.

One alternate that was really striking was the 2009 combo vs Arkansas, with the old gold helmet and shoes, and the throwback white jerseys and pants. That was great and it would also work with a purple jersey of that same style.
