Great post.
I think LSU fans are like some alcoholics- have to hit rock bottom before they can comprehend what we have as a program. Think 80s and 90s. And now ...Win a couple NC and get drunk and win, and masturbate over Saban, Fisher, Smart...repeat.
This fan base is miserable and much larger than this website.

The fanbase is not miserable. This narrative by the pumpers has ran its course. The Fanbase is pretty pumped right now and LSU outside of the rent a wins is playing pretty darn good ball. Many in the fanbase expects LSU to play better than they have coming into this season. The program is a 10 win program and it hasn't acted nor produced like one since 2012. 2013 was close if the defense wasn't soft. I feel like LSU is returning more to its 10 win expectation.

This comparable is weak sauce. Some of the fans will say yall younger lsu fans are spoiled. I remember the time when Southern Miss came to Tiger Stadium and won in front of 53,000 fans. Yeah I remember it too. I was there that day and never ever ever ever want LSU to revert back to it. Why expectations and accountability are very important.

110” screen. Clean bathrooms. AC. Comfy chairs. Variety of delicious food. No crowds. No parking. No traffic. No idiot fans. Can switch to another game when LSU allows a little sister school to pull within 3.

No thank you.

You realize the people leaving at halftime aren't the same ones on here bitching and the product, right?

I fully admit this kind of talk triggers me to no end.

Here’s all you need to remember in order to keep from repeating this perpetual made up BS again:

We love LSU

We had/perhaps still have some reservations about O’s coaching ability

That said, we know that if O succeeds, LSU succeeds, therefore we support him.

This season has been a thrilling surprise so far we’re loving it.

...and there it is. Remember that every time someone posts about bad blocking or a dropped pass and you translate that as a message of hate

People talk about the stadium being full years ago. But we weren't on the TV all that often. I know, I had to listen on radio living out of state.

Now with every game on TV, some people stay home. Some people can't just take their young boy and sit through 4 hours with tv timeouts and players standing around. It kills the flow of the game.

Next weekend the game is even later. People are not going to want to sit in their cars after midnight in traffic.

They aren't fans, dude. They don't give a shite about the game. They got tickets from their uncle and he's sitting at his RV drunk. The entire day is just an excuse to party, no one cares about the game. And their drunk wears off by halftime and the only thing they want is more booze or to go to bed. It's pathetic.

While actually IN the Coliseum, (After all the Game Day Pre Game BS has been completed) the # 1 concerns of the current Tiger Stadium crowd seem to be the concessions and the cell phone service.

LSU football is secondary.

Make them exquisitely comfortable or they're leaving at Half-time. They got better things to do and need more alcohol, drugs and nicotine. Gotta beat that post-game traffic too.

It's devolved into a sad state of affairs thanks to Aramarkalleva and the LSUAD.

People have been trying to shame fans into going to games and staying 4 quarters for years now. It hasn't worked. Try something else.

... And the BS comparisons to other teams doesn't work either. Fake News. Everyone knows this is a common problem in college football... And at Bama too. Saban calls out students for leaving early

Most of the fan base agrees, but the Delicate Genius's are totally defiant for some reason that I haven't been able to figure out. FEW like the PIM, but they continue to do it unabated.

LSUTigerMBA, how many home games do you attend each year? (Asking for another reason)

I am convinced half of the fans were would hoping we would lose so that we could replace Orgeron.

I think that’s bs. But I do think there are fans that like to have it both ways...enjoy winning and get bragging rights over friends that are fans of other schools....but when they lose, get to say “see..I told ya this was gonna happen”.

Hate saying this, but look at Bama. That stadium is never empty regardless of who they play. You’re right our fans literally suck at being fans

This is just not true. Even Saban has commented on this problem at Alabama. Fan apathy is an SEC problem and not just about LSU fans.

Uhhhh...no. How about since the price to go out to Tiger Stadium is sky high now, that LSU puts out a GOOD product that the fans can actually cheer and stay for?

I can't wait to get to the game for my birthday against Moo State. I don't care if it's at 2:30 (I hope it isn't) or 7:00. I'll be there with my wife and son, and we will be there the entire game rain or shine.

The game atmosphere isn't what it used to be but damn it's still great. Yeah I understand thousands go and just tailgate, not sure I get that I can get drunk at home, but neither here nor there.

I can understand leaving earlier if it is pissing and pouring, oh wait I sat through the entire Western Kentucky game a couple of years ago, my wife told me never again Seriously though I do not understand leaving early or not screaming until you can't talk tomorrow. I guess I am just old school.

I know one damn thing, folks bitching about the neutral site games in Dallas/Houston have lost that argument forever.
Maybe we should shoot for 2 neutral site games every year to assure at least a 1/2 stadium full of fans who stay until the 4th quarter.
A normal LSU crowd Saturday coulda made the difference between a W or an L if a few plays don’t go our way. Anyone thinking Louisiana Tech was going to be push over has a short memory.
