Or perhaps this is just an ignorant topic that has been beat into the ground. Ever think about it like that? Ever think at all?

It was a sellout yet people leave halfway through the 2nd Quarter. WTF. Why go to games then? This game was close but even if it wasn’t no excuse

I love it when posters here would rant saying how they weren't supporting our team b/c they didn't like hiring Orgeron. 'I'm not settling for mediocrity". Really?!? I am convinced half of the fans were would hoping we would lose so that we could replace Orgeron.

I fully admit this kind of talk triggers me to no end.

Here’s all you need to remember in order to keep from repeating this perpetual made up BS again:

We love LSU

We had/perhaps still have some reservations about O’s coaching ability

That said, we know that if O succeeds, LSU succeeds, therefore we support him.

This season has been a thrilling surprise so far we’re loving it.

...and there it is. Remember that every time someone posts about bad blocking or a dropped pass and you translate that as a message of hate.

Because there is a large portion of the LSU fan base that cares more about tailgating and getting plastered than they do about watching the game. Every fan base has these, but ours seem to have gotten worse.

I bet most of you on here bitching about people leaving the game were sitting at home for the entire game.

Stop acting like this is strictly an “LSU problem”. It’s not. It’s happening everywhere.

Stop saying it’s corporate. Student section being half empty isn’t corporate. Much of this falls on the administration.

1 over expansion of the stadium resulted in major traffic issues which have not been fixed.

2. Failure to allow transfers of season tickets to others ( like the Saints do).

3. A genearal screw the fan attitude. I’ve been trying to switch parking pass lots with a friend of mine for years and LSU refuses. WTH?

4. Failure to address the leaving early issue. They should start with the student organizations. If general public seats are empty for game after game I’m not oppose to offering the seats to other fans.

Solid post.

I cannot sit in the upper decks. I have an issue with heights. I, however, bought tickets for me, my husband and my grandson for the Rice game. It was the only game that we could make it to that had affordable, available tickets (that were in the lower bowl).

We will go early, stay late, and come home hoarse.

P.S. We will be staying at The Crowne Plaza because we live too far out of town to drive home that night. Please tell me the best place to try to park to get back to my hotel (or should I just use Lyft or Uber)?? (I KNOW this is probably not the correct board and someone will have something rude to say but I just want to help be part of the solution.)

If you people would read the parking flow and park according to where you’re heading post game, it’s not even that bad. I’m out of my lot & on I-10 in less than 15 mins. This is such an exaggerated excuse.

I’m amazed that we continue to demand 18-21 year-olds be perfect every Saturday, including putting the work in to be perfect, but we can’t fill a stadium for three hours a week to watch.

What do you mean you people? I know how to park, a-hole. Learn how to reply to the correct poster.

I’m just kicking the can around a little bit, but maybe if our team wasn’t dead last in total offense in the SEC after 4 games more fans would hang around longer when we play non-power five programs.

but look at Bama. That stadium is never empty regardless of who they play.

This simply is not true. In fact, they are reducing the capacity of the stadium.

We need to threaten to reduce the size of the student section and sell or give those tickets to young high school or older folks that woul love to be at these games, start to finish. They will soon get it.

One thing that is never mentioned: Up until the 90s, Only maybe 3 or 4 LSU games were even televised. Now, people can just go back to the tailgate and refill on liquor and watch the rest of the game.

They aren't fans, dude. They don't give a shite about the game. They got tickets from their uncle and he's sitting at his RV drunk.

The entire day is just an excuse to party, no one cares about the game. And their drunk wears off by halftime and the only thing they want is more booze or to go to bed.

It's
You know , that's exactly what i thought 40 years ago . And the empty stands in the 4th quarter a not am uncommon sight. I witnessed it in Florida, & I witnessed it in Austin . If you want to quit scheduling teams that figure to be a little less taxing on LSU , just schedule top tier teams. If every game will be a do or die, instead of Tech & SE LA , more people will stay to the end. Until the record is 4-4 , maybe, & guess what. Empty stands in 1st quarter . Hard to have it both ways. I have supported our team, even thru the LM days , & will continue to do so. There will be a different atmosphere when Ga & MS St come to town.
