Shut the frick up with the tired narrative.

The original comment was that stadium was not enthusiastic and 1/3 full in the 4th. People were there, they were just apathetic. And left early because they are pussies

I bet at least 1/3 of the crowd leaves at halftime against Ole Miss weather we are up 10, tied or Down 10. If your bitch arse has to be in bed by 10 p.m., give your tickets to someone with a pair of balls

you used to be able to just pull up to tiger stadium and take your boy to see the tigers play.

Then go to a high school game arse wipe. you want a national championship contending team but you want to be able to drive up to the stadium and just walk in.

You idiots are unreal. I pity you

LSU offense is struggling like it did under Miles,

The 2015 LSU offense gained a 100 yards more a game than the 2018 offense has four games in and scored more points.

Stats don't mean everything, but lets be honest. Our offensive production under O for seventeen games and two OC has sucked.

It was a sellout. Alleva got his. The fan who leaves early is the one who loses value in that case.

Agreed! I used to drive to the LSU vet school via the River Road, park there and walk over to my tailgate. So much more complicated to get there, park and just enjoy the game today. We don’t need an NFL experience with loud canned rap music, rapid chasing/pulsing lights! Bring back the magic of the college atmosphere of Death Valley!

People were giving away tickets outside the gates yesterday.

Because there is a large portion of the LSU fan base that cares more about tailgating and getting plastered than they do about watching the game. Every fan base has these, but ours seem to have gotten worse.

This.

LSU Football in the 50's,60's,70's,and 80's was a special event, that people really had a special passion for. They loved to scream loud for our state school, and leaving early was never considered much. We had pride that it was a "difficult place for opponents to win". There was something magical about it, even if we lost. It was so special, people would stay even if we were blowing out a team. the "dying off" of the passionate fans along with their attitude of it being such a memorable occasion, and the evolution of the younger generation in Louisiana that don't feel the same way about LSU Football as the 'older folks' and care more about other social interests than watching LSU play. It's an ADHD culture today. They need constant stimulation or they will go somewhere else to find it when a football game is not supplying their need. The interest is just not the same as it used to be in this present culture.

I don't mind the ugly win against good/decent teams like Auburn and Miami, however, LSU should not have ugly wins against Tech or SELU. That is the biggest difference is that Great teams have those ugly games but they also blow out the teams that they should. LSU has not really done that the past few years. We have starters playing into the 4th quarter, not because we want them to gain experience but because we need them to win the game. That is just sad and LSU playing down to its opponent.

Those that live in the moment and can’t see past today (positigers) and those who see the long term future of the team and the it’s weaknesses (negatigers)

It's the "holier than thou, know it alls" who call themselves righteous and objective and have been proven wrong, repeatedly this year. You call them "negatigers." You give them (yourself) this great foresight, that you and you alone know what's best for LSU. An example? Negatiger-- "LSU is unranked in preseason bc Coach O sucks." Now that LSU is ranked in top 5-- "The rankings don't mean a thing until November." "LSU will never beat Miami." Wrong again, so the tune changes to "Miami is overrated." After SELA, "Coach O and E suck. We will never beat Auburn with our offense." Shocker, wrong again. So, the tune changes, "Yeah, but we still are last in offense is SEC." or "You so-called fans are too busy calling out the negatigers and can't even enjoy a win." Then we beat La Tech-- what's the new negative spin? "The product on the field is boring."

Chances are, at some point you will be correct-- LSU will lose a game. Mark my words, all you "negatigers" will proclaim how you saw it coming and the sky is once again falling. If you don't mind-- while you wait for failure, and proclaim any success differently than facts prove (4-0)-- I will continue to enjoy wins-- it's what a fan is supposed to do. But of course, you don't get it.

They leave early because the game itself is not the primary reason a lot of people go. They get drunk, check out the people, take a few pics for Facebook, and then head out before the traffic backs up.

BD great post. The newer generation of fans 18-30 will never live up to what previous generations created. That group has placed diff values on certain things we held dearly. As with all generalizations this is a % thing as well. But rest assured many of them will never bring it like we did .

I left in the middle of second quarter and went to Digiulio Brothers.

Down vote me. I’m terrible.

I made a commitment to NEVER open up Scoreboard during or after any gave EVER. It changed my life. I'm back to my old optimistic self and enjoy the games much more.

Reading all the negative whining bitches put a toll on my fandom.

Last night's game was enjoyable from an entertainment standpoint which is why we watch. The joy of it! People screaming the sky is falling can geaux to hell!

If you want to get down to Brass Tacks, The best fans essentially died off in our Greatest Generation and now sadly starting with the Baby Boomers. It leaves us Gen Xers and millennials to make up for it. And the Millennials want to load up their selfies to social media and cannot do it in the Valley. we live in era of instant information and we live on our phones. sad but its the honest truth. Look at the players. they all have their phones with them as soon as they hit the locker room. S. Stadiums today especially the collegiate ones have a pre-information age mentality and haven't adapted. hence the big reason why people are leaving early.

I give props to LSU in some areas being proactive but they have to up the Wifi in The Valley.

what happened to the 22-35 year olds that used to own the end zones and play a big factor between the 20's? They are not there and the ones that are suck.
The endzones were the only part of the stadium that stayed full the entire game. It's the people in the gold seats that put out a pathetic performance. Pay all that money for great seats just to leave at halftime or not even show up to the cupcake games.
