Jesus Christ people! LSU was losing 6-7 games every year not long ago.

The 90s for LSU were rough

It'd be a shame if an LSU fan...

forgot them.

I thought LSU would go 9-3, losing to the teams they lost to. I didn't think they had a favorable schedule with Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss back to back to back with no bye week between these teams.

If you ask anyone to rank teams on talent alone, anyone leaving LSU out top 10 is insane.

Yet no one expects us to finish top 10 even with top 10 talent.

And all of them think firing Miles is insane.

So...

Losing to Ark twice in a row in blowouts is not acceptable. Don't even try to make that look otherwise.

We have glaring holes on our offensive line

Exactly. Part of the problem.

Yes the loss to Alabama sucked but they are better than us.

Yes. Part of the problem.

Ole Miss sucks too? They dominated us and were the better team

All true. And that's part of the problem.

Yet somehow Les will never get that credit.

Get credit for having an inferior team? It's his job to field a team worthy of higher expectations. It's not his job to meet the low expectations he creates. Ole Miss and Ark should NOT be better than LSU.

Yeah Yeah Yeah but why are we in this position in the first place?

Because since 1/9 we have been on borrowed time. Losing that game, the way LSU lost it, turned a lot of people off to Miles and it's effected recruiting. Some will say I'm crazy because Miles brings in top 10 classes but the truth is Miles comes in 2nd with the key recruits at key postions.

Pumpers = .500 is great. Anything above is a bonus.

The preseason predictors ASSUMED we would not have a serviceable QB.
After the first 6 weeks, we thought we had a GOOD QB.
They were right.
We were wrong.

SI predicted SEC West finish:

1. Auburn
2. Alabama
3. Ole Miss
4. Arkansas
5. LSU
6. Miss. St.
7. Texas A & M

Move Auburn to 7th and slide everybody up one notch and that's exactly how it played out.

The OP's point is that any realistic fan was predicting 3 losses this year, thinking the season would be better than expected if we had 1 or 2 losses and hoping against an Auburn-type season.

For me it's not the number of losses but how uncompetitive we were in the losses.

All that matters is what you do during the season and we started out great and were a legit #2 team in the country with the Heisman front runner. Then we REGRESSED.

anyone who knows that a football has laces, knows that this tiger team was a very over rated #2. Anyone using just a little common sense, who watched this team including myself knew this was a 3 or 4 loss team even as we were praised for being undefeated and boasting the #1 ranked leader for the heisman.

anyone who couldn't recognize how undisciplined, we were, how it was never corrected from the opening kickoff of the very first game until the final snap of the last game when every single week it was suppose to be worked on, how terrible our quarterbacking was throughout the season even as that weakness was being hidden, by the run heavy offense, when it was said that "our quarterback is doing what he's asked to do", and you would believe that crap, it takes some dumb arse mfkers who don't know shite to swallow that this was a good enough team to be ranked in the top 10. the fact is they are some dumb arse frickheads who after 13+ weeks the coach still can't get them to go on a snap count. Or keep the defense from lining up offside. That is the simple shite, how in the hell are they expected to learn plays if they can't learn to stay on sides?????

Just because it was predicted doesn't make it acceptable. It really just shows how far the program has dropped that expectations are so low.
