Preseason picks do mean something. And it's the reason North Carolina may not get in the playoffs even if they win tomorrow and Ohio Stste is still in it after finishing 3rd in the conference.
If preseason rankings don't count then mid season rankings like being ranked #2 don't either.
BAsed on this hatred logic which team didn't regress this yr in the SEC.

I do not even factor non SEC games into Miles production as a coach. That is just padding the stats and is an exercise for losers. Last 4 years in the SEC Miles is an also ran. So for that he is the greatest LSU coach ever. I disagree.

You see how they are. I guess miles is the only coach playing non SEC gAmes padding the stats.
Which team in the SEC west these last 4 years has done better?

LSU had never been dominated three straight games during the Les Miles era...I don't think we have ever been dominated two straight games. It is not that we lost, but how we lost. We weren't competitive. It is alarming.
I agree it's a bit alarming. But like you said, this has never happened in Les Miles era. 11 years and this happens for the first time and people can't wait to kick him to the curb. That's ridiculous. He has earned an opportunity to get us back to 2011.

What your saying is we are accepting mediocrity

We have no choice but to accept mediocrity

Yep we are just like Peyton Manning mediocre. That Tom Brady he's just like Nick Saban.

It's not unreasonable for us to have higher expectations than back-to-back 3rd tier bowl games with the talent we have coming in.

Soooo, lsu was predicted to be AVERAGE, and it's ok to keep our average coach...... because his teams are predicted in the preseason to be average?
I've seen and heard about everything now
It's ok everybody, we were picked to be AVERAGE IN THE PRESEASON
SO IT'S PERFECTLY OK TO BE AVERAGE!!!
Jesus titty fricking christ

Roll Bama Roll Season Projections
wtf is this shite?

quote:No, we were a young, thin team with some tantalizing offensive talent (sophomores starting at QB, RB, and main WR; explosive freshmen making impressions in reserve).
We were legitimately the #2 team in the country and looked like a team that was getting better and better.
Didn't pass very well at Miss St, escaped with a win. Anyone who bitches about Miles' clock management and considered hiring Mullens is a hypocrite; he got a terrible penalty on a try for a game-winning FG, to make a long kick longer.
Fournette ran roughshod over the cupcakes, while the defense struggled.
Auburn was in far worse disarray than LSU at any point this season, we blew them up at home in a revenge game.
South Carolina had a terrible year, and they put up a fight for a half in what should have been their home game; instead it was sent here to a dead Tiger Stadium. Spurrier quit afterwards, I'm guessing the vibe was already in the locker room before he left.
Florida came here with a scrub at QB, and fought us tooth and nail. Game came down to the final play.
This is not the makings of a legit #2 team, it's a good young team playing pretty near the peak of their ability.
Vs Bama- outclassed on the field at nearly every position. Our best player, Fournette, is basically a match for their RB, but the rest of the team couldn't match up. That's fine; Alabama is probably the team favored to win it all. They had a stupid fluke loss to another team they outclassed (but still had more talent on the field than we did).
Vs Arkansas- a big, physical, more experienced team that was playing for it's season vs us. Beat us, and they end up ok. Lose to us, and this season was a disaster. As compared to LSU- shocked by Bama, but still 7-1; and in no way mentally ready to flush the Bama game and get ready for the intensity Arkansas brought. We got whipped.
Ole Miss- road game, revenge game for them (see Auburn above, and let's be honest, more talent at plenty of key positions. Another whipping, we crumbled when Fournette's run was called back. He gets that early long run to count, the game might be different.
A&M- home game, coach is in jeopardy, fanbase is full of venom and hate going in. LSU circled the wagons and fought hard, and got a flawed but solid win vs a flawed but solid opponent.
quote:Fournette was smoke and mirrors. Impressive downhill runner vs overmatched defenses when he broke through the box. Was consistently thrown for losses when he would try to cut away from the play, instead of settling for a no-gain (this was happening as early as the Syracuse game late, if you remember). A good player, but he beat precisely nobody by bouncing it outside.
we started out great and were a legit #2 team in the country with the Heisman front runner

Wow, a well thought out, well written post founded on reason and facts that gives a realistic evaluation of the Tigers' season.

actually les will never get credit by the 11% that are negative people.
negas don't come by their negativity by logic, they are nurtured to be negative about themselves, therefore if les is badder, they are not as bad.
haters gotta hate!
don't worry about the 11%, they are welcomed here because this is an anonymous internet blog!

I haven't forgotten the way Les Miles' teams look on the field in most games: disorganized and underdeveloped.
