Solid post, but aren't you a bit concerned with how signing day played out? The class itself is good, but not addressing some of the needs is inexcusable. Couple that with the gap that exists between LSU and Alabama, and it's quite concerning.

He was the ONLY Broyles Award candidate on the offensive side. Dave Aranda recommended him. But yeah, it's all Eaux's fault.

This is classic CheeriO stuff right here! O is the HC but somehow it’s not his fault he failed to properly vet the guy he was hiring. Now it’s Arandas fault CLASSIC!!!

the guy who was the #2 recruiter for the 2017 recruiting class? The O-line coach with the super bowl ring. The other coach with the super bowl ring? Why couldn't these guys find other jobs? Are you making shite up?

Vintage Ree cherry picking here. I specifically mentioned the OL coach. I don’t mean the #2 recruiter for 2017, I mean the #111 recruiter for 2018 and the RC for LSUs lowest ranked class in more than a decade. The other coach with SB ring was fired and unemployed when O hired him

Without question the funniest thing I've seen on this board in a LONG, LONG time.

Very impressive on your part.

I really didn't think you were remotely capable of this. I would prefer a rebuttable to anything I have posted. But hey, for you this is very impressive. CONGRATS !!!!

No one expects that. If you aren't an LSU fan carry your arse. No one will care or miss you.

Ummm.. you are expecting that from people, because clearly you ignore what is reality.

Please explain how the program is heading down. I think with the improvements on defense and the O-line it is heading upward.

Weakest recruiting class in 10+ years and really since 2002.

We are having to pay our DC $2.5 Million just to stay.

We hired a multiple time failed OC that hasn't fully run an offense in nearly 20 years.

We "filled" holes by creating others, and hirings have been questionable to say the least.

Swindling? Really? After one year of a coach who played over 30 true freshmen players in his first year on the job?

Exaggerate much? So a signing class is 23 players, yet magically 30 true freshmen played, when two of them didn't even play and large number of them played only special teams or a few actual snaps outside of that.

But keep pushing a narrative that ignores the facts as to why LSU got themselves into that position including having 5 OL transfer along with a number of DL players.

I work in analytics. Can you please explain you great knowledge and explain what is about to happen to the LSU program. I have run the numbers and just don't see the horrible prediction. thank you VERY much in advance !@!!

So you work in anayltics, but can't seem to utilize any analytical skill to see how far down the SEC was this year. This was statistically one of the weakest years in SEC football in over 3 decades and a complete joke of an SEC West outside of Bama and Auburn.

From what I gather, you seem to think you are an analyst on this staff or something.

I am Going to fundamentally disagree with the gameday coaching and O’s tweaks vs Troy.

Turnovers are probably why we lost the game, but the tweaks are why it was close in the first place. It’s Troy. We sucked.

We should have won by 30

Yea giving the kicker a scholarship was a huge mistake, as was not having the foresight of our 2 CBs going pro. Our CB numbers scare me but I think we can make it work.

He was fired by the Cleveland Browns !!!

The year he was fired they moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens eventually winning 2 SB. In other words it’s not the same franchise that exists today as the Browns and as i stated was in chaos, threatening to and ultimately moving. Also convenient how you leave out he was back to being a dominant DC after and was wanted by 3 NFL teams

I've found that arguing with you is like arguing with my ex-wife. You keep repeating the same thing over and over. None of it makes any sense and your responses rarely actually address the statement that I made.

Right, but isn’t the rumor that he meddled in the first half which led to the locker room argument at half time? We were shut out in the first half. That’s not O’s gameplan almost working, that’s O’s gameplan costing us the game.

overhauling the offense and trying to re-install the old offense isn't a fricking tweak

We lost by 3 & had 4 turnovers & gave up 200 on the ground. But people want to focus on cutting out pre motion stuff. Lol

Also worth mentioning, the refs gifted Troy with the FG at the end of the half. Ran the teams back out there after they left the field for the kick. Total BS call but it shouldn't have come down to that but, it did in the end.

why was that a huge mistake? we 100% had to have a good kicker in this class. Our kickers have cost us games and are as bad as they've been in years. We also didn't even use all the scholarships we have so it's not like he took away a scholarship from someone else.

Overhaul??? Cutting out shifts and motions is not overhaul. Switching to the option or running an air raid is overhauling.

I'm sure you would have done it better and would have had ALL the five stars sign with LSU.

When you have no defense for your guy resort to false arguments. I am not a football coach or recruiter but I do know that other people in that job can and have done a better job. No excuse for the way they bungled the close of this NSD. Jimbo Fisher went to A&M Dec 1, 3 weeks before the early signing period and finished with almost as good a class as O did his first full year, which is usually a great class for new coaches.
