LSU DEFENSE will need to bring their A+ game

Like most everyone else I think we are going to need a super effort from the defensive side of the ball to win this game. Injuries from the Army game and not having our full arsenal of defensive backs available is definitely reason to worry.....
On the bright side Kelly has had 9 days already to work his $10MM coaching magic and still has another 4 days to implement his game plan. He is THE master at the mental aspect of the game and he has playmakers to work with so there is a more than reasonable rainbow of hope.
Also (to be honest) Alabama's offense is not anything like it has been in the past 10-15 years. They don't have a bruiser at running back that can get 6+ yards every carry just by running over people. They don't have a QB that lights it up with his passing prowess. They don't have an offensive line that can take over a game. What they do have is home field advantage.
Tigers bring their A+ game on defense we have a chance. We all know the offense is elite and can score with the best of them. Who knows - Kelly may decide to slow the game down when we have the ball to keep our defense OFF the field. I like our chances. Hoping for another LSU vs ALA classic that goes down to the wire. Wouldn't have it any other way. Let it happen!

No they don’t. The LSU defense simply needs to be average enough to get two or three stops per half. Our offense will take care of the rest.

well for one thing ,it was the first game of the season. we didn't play a cupcake like most teams did. LSU will be fine. they will beat Bama
