So when his eligibility is up, does he get the glasses back like (some of) the elementary school teachers did at the end of the school year with the shite they took from you?

Wait does this mean next year he is going to come back pitching sub 90s and looking all white collar like in major league 2?

I would assume the Compliance Dept didn't actually want to take them away, but their hands were tied due to NCAA rules. They had to cover their arse. I don't think it is allowed to accept gifts from celebrities as a student-athlete. Whether it be a pair of glasses or a new Charger (looking at Alabama), it is still a gift.

I hate the NCAA as much as anyone, but this is the right call. It's a slippery slope. If you allow a celebrity to give gifts to athletes, where is the limit?

Common sense needs to win the day. If the NCAA were really going to try and act on that, it would go very, very poorly for the NCAA. Instead, LSU and its compliance department looks pathetic.

It's not Bo Bahnsen fault. He don't make the rules that would the gestopo bastard NCAA. He is just trying to keep LSU out of trouble.

Meanwhile the entire bama team drives new Chargers and their compliance officer keeps them out of trouble just the same.
