As long as the team hasn't, it doesn't matter what "most people" think. They're still a threat.
A 54-11 record and #1 ranking 90% of the season is deserving of at least SOME benefit of the doubt, isn't it?
I doubt TCU is thinking they can sleepwalk to a Vandy rematch.

I'm content to see how things play out before writing them off. But I'm stubborn, like that.

I'm happy just with not having to deal with anymore "2 and done" nonsense.

I will worry bout the weekend when/if we get to it. Right now, it's all bout beating the team who beat us 10-3 just a few days ago. That's the only hill on my mind.

We have the offensive capability to do it and our bullpen is pretty damn good. I have faith in bain/bugg/person.

We can do it. We've just got to play our best

Exactly, if we can not rely on guys not names Poche or Lange, we had no shot at winning this thing anyway. We can't lean on our top 2 guys and expect them to win every game (obviously don't expect the errors either). We needed 4 solid pitching games to make it to the championship when we got here; unfortunately, we were counting on Poche's 1st to be one of those 4. Now, we need 3 more solid games from our pitching staff, and if we get to Poche I expect him to bounce back and pitch like he did in his last 2 starts (and first 2 innings Sunday) before Omaha, if not better.

Too bad we don't have Bouman in Omaha. He would be the perfect lefty starter to matchup with TCU this time.

Tigers will have to win with hits and most importantly timely hits.

I posted a couple weeks ago that with just 1 dominant pitcher if you are constantly relying on relief pitching you need a Fresno St. like performance to win in Omaha. But at least Fresno St. had a dominant closer who hit mid to upper 90's. LSU doesn't have a dominant closer…let alone a dominant #2 starter to throw out there. Another limiting factor…TD Ameritrade ain't Rosenblatt.

Either the bats will get hot and give us a chance or we'll go home.

Its a monumental task.....for the first two games IMO. You beat Vandy the first time, all the momentum goes to LSU, the pressure to Vandy, by that point, I'd like our odds in a 2nd game.

This. No matter how good they are perceived to be, we are still 6-time national champion, LSU, and they are still lowly Vanderbilt. We have a tradition of winning in Omaha. They don't. We have always owned SEC baseball. They haven't. We have the mistique. They don't.
