Teams lose slot value from their bonus pool when they pick someone who doesn't sign in the first 10 rounds. All of those selections are based on conversations with the players where they verbally agree to loose numbers. "would you sign for $500k if we picked you" type conversation. Not set in stone but still, it is rare for that conversation to be had and a player to then back in out.

I know how it works. That was my point. When some of us say that players in the first 10 rounds are gone they always have people trying to argue that that isn't true that LSU can get NIL to maybe make them not sign. Can it happen, maybe. Recent past shows that it is very unlikely. Like less than 1%.

Project, if you want to add the link to DJ Primeaux's summer stats, here you go.

Do we expect Jaden Noot, Chase Shores or Kaleb Applebey to be available during the 2024 season?

I would expect Noot to have a similar role as Coleman did this year. Come back mid season and be eased back into action.
I wouldn’t expect Shores to be back next year. But both Noot and Shores should be a full go for 2025.
Not really sure about Appleby, haven’t heard much on him.

Depends if you count Reaves or not. 47 without and 48 with.

He can be drafted as a sophomore if he's 21

Based on the interview Jay did recently, took Reaves off the list. In the recruiting thread, moved him to the 2024 class.

I'm going to go on record. If we land Montgomery, next year's team will be better top to bottom than this year's team.
Obviously there is no replacing Skenes. But the pitching staff could be incredibly deep.
Crews is tough to replace, but our OF could be absolutely stacked. The sum of all the parts could make up for the loss of crews.
I love Dugas and Thompson, but we will almost certainly be better defensively.
Morgan's defense at first will never be replaced, but that's not a massive deal.

How quick you’ve forgotten about the production of this team is comical. Crews’ OBP was nearly .500. That won’t be duplicated for a long time, if ever. Morgan’s defense is the only reason we were put in a position to win. He doesn’t crash home, we don’t win. Yes, next team will be good, but the skill and camaraderie of this team may never be duplicated.

Point out what I said that wasn't true.
I never said we would have a Dylan Crews. But an out field that would consist of the best three out of Bingham, Montgomery, Kling, Pearson and Larson is absolutely stacked.
I never said we would have a Skenes. I said that the pitching staff as a whole could be much deeper.
I even specifically said we will not replace Morgan's defense at first base. Yes, Morgan made a play that not another first baseman would have made against Wake. In general, first base doesn't have to be an elite defensive position to have an elite team.
