When anything breaks, you won’t have to ask.

Agree with your post.

Lot of X-factors on next year's team but so much potential. Already looking fwd to ScubaTiger's fall reports.

On a more somber note, how difficult will it be to get our roster within limits? I fear somebody's gonna get processed out of necessity.

Going to 40 will help. I think some of it will naturally take care of itself, with injury red shirts etc. Some will be guys who just clearly will see they won't be able to cut it in the fall. I fully expect one or two that will sting though.

Let's just assume Montgomery comes. How do you feed all of those guys that are fully capable of playing at a big time program? Hell, even without Montgomery it's pretty stacked. But the additions of Bingham, and maybe Montgomery, you can assume you are taking away two spots that kids thought they would be competing for this year and asking them to wait another year. I don't think it's far fetched to say we could have two groups of SEC caliber outfielders, as well arse 5-6 SEC starting arms.

We now sit at 48/40 on the roster.

Can only have 40 on the roster? I'm assuming that's the spring roster limit, not fall. Does that include freshmen redshirts? Fall ball going to be intense.

It looks like we will be hiring another trainer for the baseball program again. I think Josh Walker is taking another job, potentially outside the college sports industry.

It needs to be down to 40 by opening day. It does not include players that will redshirt.

On the actual staff or support staff?

I assume you could label it under either/or. I would probably say support staff

I'm guessing this it outside of having already replaced Josh Simpson with Terry Rooney.

Isaac Trujillo from A&M looks like the new trainer.

I don't remember the S&C guys name we hired last year but it looks like he's not on the staff directory anymore so it's probably who Nap is referring to.

ETA: Derek Groomer is the guy that doesn't seem to be on the staff directory anymore.

ETAA: Looks like he went to Georgia with Wes and Josh Simpson.

It would make sense. Groomer seemed to be a Wes guy anyway, so letting Yeskie bring in someone he's familiar with makes sense.

eta: Jeremy McMillan

Can someone reorder the list? Let’s focus on who we will have next year first.
We really want to see returning players, portal commits, incoming recruits then list th3 guys leaving.

If you start with Javen Coleman, everyone on the list from there down except for Blake Mitchell is scheduled to be on the roster at this time.

But no, I'm not reformatting it.

Champ Artigues has joined the program as a grad assistant. He was an infielder at Southeastern and is the son of the former SELU baseball coach and current AD.
