HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss baseball coach Scott Berry announced today that the LSU contest originally released for Wednesday, Apr. 16, has been moved up a day.
The game, called the Wally Pontiff, Jr., Baseball Classic, moves up to Tuesday, Apr. 15, at Zephyr Field in Metairie, La. Game time will stay at 7 p.m.
The Golden Eagles open the season, Fri., Feb. 14, at home against Stony Brook. Game time is set for 4 p.m., at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field

News is Dunn has helped Parker Bugg develop a sharp 12-6 CB and decent enough change. His FB is expected to get to the mid 90s. Until he can prove accuracy under pressure, he'll be a mid relief guy, but could make a push for the closer roll if successful.
