That game already happened. Notre Dame beat them in Oklahoma

It would require the Fiesta and Rose to pass on ANY SEC team. That won't happen.

I see us playing Bama in the Sugar Bowl
I don't. I didn't like a Mulligan last year. I don't like Mulligans this year. I won't next year either. One game per rival, per season please. We are not the NFL. College ball is based on legends and historic rivalries, not tit for tat games in the same season.

I don't think two teams from the same conference can play each other in a BCS bowl. Unless its the National Championship

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree and I don't even think it should happen in for the National Championship if the teams have already met during the regular season.

Neaux.

ESPN will be pushing Bama over an unbeaten team soon.

We will probably also hear talk that LSU "could beat any top 3 team right now"...

Which will also be convenient since ESPN knows they would never give LSU a second chance.

I thought the Bama LSU game was the lowest rated NCG in recent history. You've got fewer teams' fans in hotel rooms. More tea bagging on Bourbon St.

LSU-BAMA Rematch

1) Not going to happen.

2) Should not happen.

3) Bad for LSU. If Gumps win ... Gumps gonna gump even more. If LSU wins ... Gump and nation response: "Who cares? Didn't count for squat." ... and it wouldn't.

Better for both teams to just go crush other teams. We'll play the gumps again next year.

He is right though...it would get nuts ratings, publicity, tv spots, ticket sales, ad dollars, t-shirts, etc etc etc.

No it wouldn't. It would be the lowest rated BCS Bowl game.
I find it both mildly amusing and simultaenously increbily frustrating that people on here don't understand how the bowl system and tie-ins work, and project their own "I would love to see this game" mentality on the rest of the country who absolutely do not want to see this game.

Rose bowl will not invite an SEC team you can bank on that. Fiesta bowl will most likely invite Oklahoma and Texas A&M. This is their best market for geographical reasons.

I have zero interest in seeing LSU play Bama again before 11/9/13.

Yes, because what the bowls want to do is recreate one of the lowest rated championship games ever played.

No one wants a rematch. We lost. We're not Bama, begging for a mulligan.
