This is overkill. We still gained an extra conference game. All they had to do was move Auburn and Bama to the East and OU and Texas to the West. This new format is horrible. The polls will determine who plays in the SEC Championship

Looks pretty well balanced considering strength of teams. Auburn has both Alabama and Georgia; looks to be the toughest duo in the group,

They're not too far off. Two divisions with Mississippi State the only team connecting the two.

You people, I swear. What you profess to want is simply not doable. The schedule makers had a tough job.
No team was going to be given 3 powerhouses as permanent opponents. Face it. LSU is a powerhouse. It’s not just about what we want. It has to be fair to everybody.
No team was going to be left without a Thanksgiving week opponent. And I sure as hell don’t want to play Oklahoma that week.
Geography matters. For decades, LSU was the western-most SEC school. We had a lot of connection to the SWC and played their teams regularly. Our 3 permanents are all in border states and we have a history against all of them. Stop your bitching and suit up.

That fits LSU v. Arkansas perfectly. Two participants who really want nothing to do with each other. From 1957 to 1991 the two teams did not play each other even one time -- not ONCE, save for the 1966 Cotton Bowl. Prior to 1957 they played annually about a dozen times, always in Shreveport, a town which has more connections at times with Arkansas (and Texas!) than it does with LA.
And then they foist that ugly, but expensive "Boot" into the mix to make it seem legit!

No, it's not. It's called history and tradition. LSU is also the only original SEC school to only have 1 other original SEC member as a permanent. horseshite is right. Basically getting stuck in the SWC.

What is this forced CRAP obsession they have with us and Aggie???? We will NEVER consider the gay milkmen our rivals. Would be MUCH better games if we played Auburn, Bama, or even Florida. They forced UF on us, and right when it’s actually starting to gain traction they take them away and freaking force the figs on us!!!
