It’s like we’re back to the old days where this type of scenario was common. One or even two losses didn’t remove you from the hunt.

And it still doesn’t matter at all. You act like LSU officially announced those stories. The on field product is and has been unacceptable and warrants moving on from O all on its own.

I can assure you that none of us will be begging for coach O to come back regardless of who the next hire is

It's moot. LSU won't get past Ole Miss, so cut out that talk

Tell your husband this when he comes home from his overnight shift so he can tell you how fricking dumb you are.

It's theoretically possible, but would require us winning out, and a lot of help from Auburn. So I'm not counting on it, but would definitely be in Atlanta in case this ends up being a repeat of 2007.

t’s absolutely true. We have 2 SEC losses. Bama and Auburn each have 1.

We need Auburn to get to 3 since they have the h2h tiebreaker, but Bama only needs to lose to us.

We should have fricking beaten Auburn

That's about the only way I'd pull for the Gumps in the Iron Bowl, if we needed the Barn to lose. But there's plenty of time to see if it'll come to that.

The gas station thing has zero bearing on the team’s performance, unlike having girls and kids running around at practice.

true.....the gas station has nothing to do with performance.....however, he's not being fired JUST for performance, so there's that side as well.

SEC West title? We have to get by Ole Miss first which may put 50 points on our defense.

we don't KNOW how many losses we end up with this year, do we?

No, but it isn't encouraging that the current over/under on that is 5.5.

Prepare to be disappointed with the next LSU coach hire. All the good options out there are either not coming or we will end up overpaying for an unproven college head coach like Aranda or Mel Tucker.

Any chance you do motivational speaking? Just wondering if I could have you come give an inspirational talk to our organization.

You can spin this anyway you like. If you look at all of the details you can see that this was the right decision. Ogeron lost his focus and the program was not headed in the right direction. I think that anyone, who can take off their purple and gold glasses and look at this objectively, would see that there were a series of questionable decisions and a loss of control. He did not show, to me, that he had a vision and was building a championship program. I hate it for him. I really do. I like Coach O and hoped he could be there winning Natty's for a long time. Unfortunately he got caught up in the whirlwind.

I trust the next coach will be well researched, thoroughly vetted and will carry a level of professionalism that will return LSU to a consistent position among the top of the Power 5 programs. No more up and down seasons. Consistency is what is needed and that is what the next coach needs to bring. Based on your doom and gloom comments I assume that you didn't notice the baseball and women's basketball hires. Take a look at the leaders that Woodward brought in over there and then apply that against your pessimism and see how it holds up.

Take a breath dude. Woodward knows the importance of this selection and I have confidence he will get it right.

Was O a proven head coach when we hired him? If coaches like O and Miles, who have no idea what they’re doing, can win championships here then anyone with a full functioning brain can have long term success easily.
