Very ambiguous article. I'd like to know precisely what the filings admit. For example, is LSU claiming that Chavis consented to the post-signature amendment? Or that it was merely correcting a clerical error? What does the filing actually say?

That's not good strategy in the modern Information Age. You're working with a 30 year old playbook - much like our head coach.

What exactly is your experience with this?

I sent my wife, who does contract compliance in the Big 4, and she said "this article doesn't say anything of value"

Precisely. I apologize for not being clear on that. Thanks for bailing me out.

No one knows.

But there's a witch hunt out on our administration at this point. Everything they do or have done will be considered wrong by the public. Not saying that isn't justified. I guess we'll find out.

Just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

I'm not going to divulge personal details on an Internet message board. That would be poor risk management as you should know if you are so experienced and wise.

This. The statement "altered the contract after he signed it" could mean a lot of different things.

Alleva is done, there is no way out of this trap but with the checkbook so quite poetically, the same mantra that saved Miles will doom Alleva. He gone.

This is true too. A lot of people are under a microscope now and will be for quite a while.

This is very good news.

No way Alleva survives this if he is the person who either altered the contract or authorized someone else to alter it.

Goodbye, Joe, you gotta' go, me-oh-my-oh....

Saying what you do is poor risk management?

Why?

The only reason I can think of is that you have no experience and don't know what you're talking about.

- Solid logic, right?

Yeah, that's it.

Read the board, man.

The administration, the staff, everyone is getting blamed for every decision, event, etc.

It's all continued backlash from how the Miles situation was handled, and just because they didn't fire Miles in general. People wanted Miles fired.

Like I said, it could be proven to be correct and justified. But that's the conclusion everyone is jumping to off the bat for sure.

only way alleva survives this is if he has dirt on some very important people.

I read the board daily. There's no witch hunt. People don't want Alleva fired just because he didn't fire Miles. He completely botched the entire process and now it's coming to light that he may have actually committed fraud. That witch needs hunting.

I wanted Miles fired, but my anger has alot more to do with how the situation was handled. Miles remaining head coach is something alot of people would have been ok with, but how it was handled and the ensuing dumpster fire is not ok with me.

Or it comes out that the alter was non affective to the actual contract terms. Lol. Can't believe how you guys jump to conclusions with no facts.
