Pearson could have done that, and stayed in to play 3rd. Then again, he's been lost at the plate too.

Pearson would have swung at 2 obvious balls and struck out on 3 or 4 pitches.

Caraway is the better defensive option, and we do have the lead, from that point it makes sense. Just seemed like youd let pearson/carraway bat there first
